What kind of e-bikes do thieves prefer?

That's more easily said than done. Not every business is going to let me bring my bike inside with the. Grocery shopping in particular could be difficult.

What kind of e-bikes do thieves prefer?

So it sounds like the look/style/type of bike doesn't really matter much and that my priority should just be on making sure it's very secure. Thanks for your help everyone. Tomjasz, sorry for coming at you hard earlier. Your initial reply just came off very sarcastic to me.

What kind of e-bikes do thieves prefer?

Looking to buy an e-bike but live in kind of a bad neighborhood. What kind of e-bike should I be looking for to help reduce the risk of it being stolen? And/or how should I modify my e-bike to make it less appealing? Would something that looks like a regular bike be better (though those tend to...

    Aventon Level vs. Ride1Up 700

I'm aware that Mike sells Aventon bikes, but does he represent them in an official capacity?

    Aventon Level vs. Ride1Up 700

Oh I was just responding to what cldlhd said about Aventon doing the smack talk, but apparently Aventon didn't even say anything lol, just R1U. My point was never that Aventon was talking smack, more just that R1U definitely was.

    Aventon Level vs. Ride1Up 700

Well first off, I said R1U started it, not Aventon, and it was krdugger, specifically, when he was talking about the design similarities. I don't know who he is, but he was saying "we" as though he officially represents the R1U.

    Aventon Level vs. Ride1Up 700

To be fair, they both did that, and actually, Ride1Up did it first, if you go back to the beginning of the thread.

I have a few questions before purchasing.

Yes, I'm seriously considering it. Especially because they have a store where I'm moving to, and they're pretty much the only brand I'm looking at that does. The only drawbacks I can see to it are the lack of integrated lights, but that might actually be a good thing, and the way the throttle...

Anyone here purchased an S3 or X3, or considering it?

What are your reasons for doing so? If you've already received and ridden yours? Can you provide a quick review? Thank you.

    Raleigh Sprite ie troubles updates

Well, this rules out the Misceo and Sprite lol. Thanks! Sorry about your troubles, btw, OP. Would you mind updating us with the resolution you ended up receiving? Mostly out of curiosity, but if Raleigh ended up coming through for you, it might change my mind back.

I have a few questions before purchasing.

This is very useful information, Mike! Thank you. Part of my dilemma is also deciding whether to buy now, or wait til all the 2020 models are available. In general, not regarding Aventon, specifically. What's your opinion on that?

Yet another "help me decide" post.

PatriciaK, That's the thing though, I live in an extremely flat city (currently, but moving soon, possibly to a very hilly city) so it's both important that I be able to traverse hills easily, and impossible to test drive any bikes on them lol. Also, my current city just isn't big on electric...

Yet another "help me decide" post.

Well, I test drove the Trek Verve+ 2 today, and loved it. Was hoping I wouldn't because it's more than I want to spend and I feel like throttle is one of those "better to have it and not need it..." type of things. Guess I can't use "I didn't like it" as an excuse to get something else lol. It's...

No, don't say that, PatriciaK! I'm having a hard enough time as it is lol!

I have a few questions before purchasing.

Thanks in advance for any help. Does the 500 frame accommodate aftermarket accessories like cafe locks, racks, fenders, etc? Is it possible to adjust the assist levels so that PAS 1 is a little smoother? Can you recommend a suspension fork that is compatible?

Yet another "help me decide" post.

Where I live now is very flat, but I'm moving to one of two cities soon. One that's also very flat, and another that has flat areas and very hilly areas. Also, but very many places to test drive here. The only one I probably can is actually the one you called out specifically, the Verve+ lol...

Yet another "help me decide" post.

Hi everyone! I'm new here and looking for something assisted for my first bike since childhood. I'm currently not in the best health or shape, and take the bus everywhere, which requires a lot of walking too. I'd like something with a throttle, for those days that I just don't have the energy to...
