    pedal pins and cleats

Like @PCeBiker posted, I'd try soccer shin guards. Even brand name ones like Adidas or Nike don't run more than about $20-25 for a pair, and there's options for either just straps around the calf, or ones that also have stirrups. If you're getting impacts that regularly, I don't know how much...

    pedal pins and cleats

I've been wearing Freerider Pros for a few years, but since putting CrankBrothers Stamp1s on my new bike, I hate those shoes. :) (the one-piece nylon pedals with molded 'cleats' were craptacular) The Stamp1 cleats are so aggressive that I feel the individual pressure points through the soles...

    pedal pins and cleats

Could crank length make a difference? I noticed that my legs were getting fatigued more quickly, as my Cube EXC came with 175mm cranks. All the self-help "crank length guides" were recommending between 155 and 160mm cranks. After sizing down to 160mm pedaling on flat pavement/trail for long...

    Newb choices?

Nope. Throttles aren't really an option on the "big name" mid-drives, big name being Yamaha, Shimano, Bosch, and Brose. Bafang mid-drive bikes often do (Bafang being the major Chinese e-bike motor maker), as do many, but not all, DIY kits. For the most part, mid-drives make your legs feel like...

    Newb choices?

No experience with the Crosscore, but I've seen the review, and it looked like a solid bike at the regular price. With that cashback deal, I'd say it's a no-brainer. If you don't need a throttle, then I'd say look no further. :)

    Tire reccomendation

I find Schwalbe Smart Sams are pretty quiet, an Not sure if it'll work with tubeless, but I've used this hack on a tubed tire and it works

After a month of riding ...

On my older Bafang hub bike (2019), to enter the advanced settings, it required a passcode, and the default passcode was based on the display model. I would GUESS that things are still the same, so if you can figure out which model display you have, that might point you in the right direction.

    Floor pump for Schrader Heads

I second the Lezyne recco from @Aushiker This one has served me well... https://ride.lezyne.com/products/steel-floor-drive It threads onto the valve, as opposed clamping, but the threading is butter-smooth, and easy to go between Schrader and Presta.

Specialized Tero 3.0 or Aventon Ramblas for “all purpose” e-bike?

Hehe... I left out a pertinent part... it was the Reaction Hybrid (trapeze frame), not the Kathmandu. I know it's more MTB, but I was looking for the bigger tires, and a more planted stance overall.

Specialized Tero 3.0 or Aventon Ramblas for “all purpose” e-bike?

I was looking at the Aventon Ramblas as a possibility, but I was hesitant given it's their first foray into mid drives. There was (still is) a huge Cube promotion, at least here in Canada, so I went with the EXC 750. Stellar range, especially if you tune the max torque down in Eco mode on the...

Ergonomic adjustment / suspension stem for Gazelle bike?

If you really want/need a bike with front suspension, as opposed to a suspension stem, I'd lean towards getting a bike with suspension, as adding a fork after the fact will change other ride characteristics. To figure out my new bars, I used a ruler to see where my hands were landing, angle and...

How Many e-Bikes do you have and ride ??

I have 2, though I may be changing the line-up in a couple of weeks. Currently: 20" fat folder (Spark Mini) that I've relegated to commuting to work and larger load grocery getting. Added the OHM Cruise about 5 years ago, which is my day tripper though this past year it's my general go to. I...

Unicorn search? Off-road fat step-through + internal hub?

Yeah, I don't see any downside to torque sensing, and having it on a mid-drive is, IMHO, really the best way to go (just for the type of riding I primarily do). Pedaling through rough stuff is always going to be more economical on battery usage than blasting the throttle, as well. :) As for...

    Is this company legit

Years ago https://www.isthisbikestolen.com/ WAS legit, as a site to check if a bike was stolen. I remember it having a direct link to check serial numbers, and I was able to register my Specialized Sirrus Sport with the Toronto police via a link on the page. I guess the domain lapsed, and a...

Toronto Metrolinx says e-bike batteries that don't meet standards won't be allowed on trains

We have tons of Uber Eats etc delivery bikes in my area. There's a distinct rattle from many of those bikes, like every bolt is a half turn away from popping off. I'd say a complete lack of maintenance plays a big role.

Saddle pressure, numbness, and maintaining sexual health at 59

Fitment is a big deal. My bike came with an Ergon ST10 (a good brand), but I'd have discomfort around the 20km mark. It took about 3 rides to really figure it out. In my case I had to tilt it forward more than I normally would. After that, it was smooth sailing. A suspension seatpost might...

Toronto Metrolinx says e-bike batteries that don't meet standards won't be allowed on trains

https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/canada/metrolinx-says-e-bike-batteries-that-dont-meet-standards-wont-be-allowed-on-trains/ar-BB1jUwAm I regularly take the train out of the city, and do day rides back. Luckily, when an inspector rolls around, I'll be in the clear (I double checked), but I think...

Battery market update, not just ebikes anymore...

The unchanging sliver over the past few years is for electric buses. The more maroon bar (right above the yellow) is for 2/3 wheelers. :)

Unicorn search? Off-road fat step-through + internal hub?

Maybe a unicorn, but you can get close if you peruse the Biktrix line-up. https://www.biktrix.ca/products/juggernaut-ultra-duo-4-step-thru?variant=42192348676293 Swapping the standard derailleur with an Enviolo CVT hub would be the quietest option, but I'm not sure how they fare over rugged...
