    Pedego Factory Recall

I was just coming on here to post about this! We have five Pedegos in our family. Mine is the only one with this issue. I've had it back and forth to the dealer, and they couldn't fix it. They replaced the harness, and that didn't fix it either. It hasn't been a big problem, but it does speed up...

What is the life of a Pedego motor?

We have Pedegos with 4,000 miles on them, all is well! :) One did have a motor fail early in its life--the dealer replaced it, no questions asked. I assume if you are buying from a dealer there would be some sort of warranty? BTW, with all of these miles, we have had lots of maintenance. And...

What is the most reliable throttle e bike?

Hi Islandsurfer! I"m super happy with my hub drive Pedego Interceptor, which has a throttle. I have about 4,000 miles on it. Pedego is also a good company that takes care of its bikes and customers. I'm afraid I don't know about the Conveyor--I suggest you inquire with Pedego. :)

Jump e-bikes being sent to the crusher... Who killed the electric bike?

Wow. Rental ebikes have been very popular with students on the large college campus where I work, in a very hilly city. I hope a new vendor comes in with a high quality, durable and safe ebike bikeshare.

The therapeutic value of ebiking for people with anxiety or depression

I live in a very rainy place. Since I wrote that post, not sure when, I have become a rainy day commuter. I basically finally got the needed raingear, and all is fine. As for the bike, I pretty much just let it dry, and lube the chain when it starts making noise. I also have a chain lube that's...

Did you find one? Did you have a turkey dinner?

Send us pics of your ebike... loaded with groceries!

I know you aren't asking me, but I lock up to the cart corral. Easy peasy. I am hoping my grocery store puts in some decent bike racks at some point (they have this flimsy old rack made for those road bikes with super skinny wheels.... nope, not for my Pedego, for sure!)

OK- it is official: the used bike market is INSANE

Well, I have to say that cycling has gone nuts in my already cycling-haven of a town. We are a huge regional draw because we have a wonderful lakefront road. Now, with less traffic, there are more bikes than usual, and neighborhood parents/kids cycling is also off the charts. It's awesome to...

    Ebike Marketing Strategy

I think open source battery designs are an awesome idea! As ebikes get more and more common I think some folks are going to start crying "uncle" about the unrepairability of their bikes. I think there are consumers out there who don't want to keep replacing their bikes. It's great to have a...

What will happen with biking or ebiking post Covid ?

I've gotten a few emails from people who see me and my kids or husband ebiking around town asking about our bikes... what kind of bike?... where did you get it?... People are feeling cooped up. Until this virus thing ceases to be a problem, biking in the cold is also going to continue to be a...

The therapeutic value of ebiking for people with anxiety or depression

I sure agree that the ebike is keeping us mobile as a family during these shut-in times. I have a son with mental health impacts, and if it weren't for ebikes, I don't know if we could get him out of the house. Ebikes make it easy to be mobile and venturesome. Yippeee!!

    Road Rage

I often find that I catch up with cars that were in a hurry to pass me. I usually don't re-pass that car, or I use the sidewalk for a while, because I don't want them to get irritated.

Cold and wet weather cycling wear

I can't say that the Harbor Freight idea is original--I learned about Harbor Freight from this group--but after my "breathable" "waterproof" rain jacket proved itself to be only "breathable," I am ready for something that is truly water proof! Bring on the construction worker style!!! And...

    Road Rage

I have a friend who I won't ride with. If we go somewhere together, I pick her up. She said that driving with me is an oddly serene experience, and she doesn't understand why I don't get pissed off at people.

    Road Rage

Truly--it was a "back at you" kind of moment, but only in imagination. In reality, I just worked to get away from a possibly dangerous person, even though that, to him, may have looked like I was following his instructions!! I realized in retrospect a better way to get away from him would have...

Index finger numbness progressing to needles and pins on palm

I was having similar problems due to a different activity (playing an instrument). My problem was ulnar nerve entrapment/compression. I went to the doctor about it, and brought along my instrument. She said that the problem was positional, and that I needed to avoid being in that position. I...

    Looking for a folding ebike

We have a Pedego Latch, but haven't used its folding capabilities much yet. I think it's heavier than you are looking for, but I'm not sure of the weight.

The Extraordinary Life of Shane (TBI traumatic brain injury and ebiking)

I would have liked to have learned more about Shane's life in the trailer. I have a disabled child, though, who was old enough to be horrified by the President's mocking of a disabled person. My son really liked that part of the trailer. I think seeing a disabled person speak out like that was...
