How will you know if the bike is reliable? If reliability is important to you, I'd suggest looking at the history of the company and how long it stocks parts for various models. How many years do you hope to ride your bike? You will need the bike company to keep stocking parts for all of those...

That's great to hear. We have a latch as our "guest" ebike. It isn't heavily used, but I'm glad to hear your happy story! Our high miles Pedegos are my Interceptor (4,000 miles) and my H's City Commuter (6,000 miles!)

Pedego has replaced my problem displays, no questions asked. I think if you ask, they will probably send you a new one, on them. I had a display with a bad seal also--no problem with rain (yet), but the seal would lift off. They sent me a new display.

Yippeeee! I've also found kindness beyond the warranty period. And I've also experienced getting parts that I damaged--I fell and broke the display. They sent me another one without charge, even though that's normal wear-and-tear, for sure!

My 4'11" daughter has a 24" Pedego Interceptor. She needed the "City Commuter" handlebars with the adjustable stem to fit the bike properly to her. :)

I just checked the connectors our four bikes. Mine, that has the same problem, has the Julet connector. The other three have the other recalled connector type. Amy

You installed your new wiring harness yourself?? Wow! I'm curious--what part of the bike did that include? I'm assuming the connectors were unchanged in that process? As I said, my bike did get a harness replacement... (but it didn't fix the problem).
