Vado SL or a more powerful bike?

I do that sometimes on my regular 15 mile route.

Vado SL or a more powerful bike?

I've thought 45nm would be great, but yes a little more power would be nice.

Vado SL or a more powerful bike?

So I bought the SL shortly after I started this thread. I have almost 1,000 miles on it now and am very happy I went that direction. I'm a Clydesdale (6'4", 225 lbs. right now) and I live in FL with no hills. I have Eco set to 40/50 and ride in that probably 90% of the time. That gives me 17-18...

Who needs a Creo when you have a Vado

@Cds36 you inspired me to move forward with the 12-speed upgrade I've been thinking about for a while. I went GX derailleur and chain, X01 shifter and of course NX cassette. $337.21 plus Florida tax from authorized SRAM sellers on eBay, not bad! Had to buy a chain whip and lock-ring tool also...

Who needs a Creo when you have a Vado

Nice, using the NX cassette makes sense. Great setup, really nice looking bike. Nice bags also, a bit pricey but not as pricey as that XX1 cassette!

Who needs a Creo when you have a Vado

@Cds36 I have the same bike and have been considering upgrading from NX 11-speed to 12-speed higher up the line. I can see paying for the XX1 derailleur and shifter, but I can’t see paying for that cassette. What did you do about cassette and chainring?

Chain, cassette, sprocket replace for 2019 FullSeven

Good call on this, I need to make sure the shop took care of it. I’ve been in a lot of water, submerged more than once. Thanks.

Chain, cassette, sprocket replace for 2019 FullSeven

Thanks Mike, yeah that part I'm afraid is not findable. Except the first place I should have looked, Haibike Tech Support. Though I gather they just recently got them, since I found another person who waited for 8 months to get his. The sprocket has a 5mm offset, and the part number is 165901...

Chain, cassette, sprocket replace for 2019 FullSeven

I finally got around to replacing the cassette and chainring on my FullSeven, with 1300 miles now, and I ordered the wrong part from Europe. This is getting expensive. I have not been able to find the correct SDURO sprocket online. Can anyone help with a solution?

Is there a strength between the Turbo Vado 5.0 step through and standard?

Not anecdotal. Triangles are stronger, and a step through will twist more than a high step even if made to the same strength with heavier tubing. I concur that the low-step Vado would be fine and safe for the rider. I personally prefer the superior structural integrity of a diamond frame, but...

    Trim bars on Vado SL

+1 on the pipe cutter, I trim all my bars with one (but don’t use stock bars).

Is there a strength between the Turbo Vado 5.0 step through and standard?

A step-through design is inherently weaker. I‘m 6’4, 225 lbs. and I definitely wouldn’t buy one. There have been step-throughs that start shaking when going fast downhill. Not saying the Specialized would, at least the top tube connects significantly above the motor. But personally I’d probably...

Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

I’ve had major saddle problems for the past 6 years, mostly perineal numbness and pain. I’ve tried at least 25 saddles, from $35 - over $200. The only saddle I can get along with is the WTB Koda in 155mm, I think because it’s firm and flat in back. There is one more I want to try, the...

Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

Thank you, I think it’s really interesting to see how different people go about customizing the same bike. Stock, loaded, minimal, and everything in between…

Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

Just enough. There is no binding at max rotation, though I would prefer to have a little more slack than I do.

Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

Well I have about 350 miles on the SL4 now and am really enjoying it. I've reached what I think is the final configuration, though I also have a set of 50mm Schwalbe Marathon Almotions that I really like. Installed in the photo are the 45mm Pirelli Cinturatos, measuring 47mm on the bike. After...

No hitch produced for my car?

I moved from the aforementioned A8 to an SUV a few years back primarily to transport bikes. If you're really into biking it's really nice to have a nice hitch setup :)

No hitch produced for my car?

Fair point. I know little about adapters since I’ve never wanted a receiver smaller than 2”. My Tesla has one, as did several SUVs of course.

No hitch produced for my car?

I recently did not buy a car mostly because installing any kind of hitch would require modifications. Unfortunately, to carry a heavy rack and two ebikes it is by far best to have a vehicle that is designed for a 2” receiver. I did carry a bike in the trunk of an Audi A8 by putting the back...

Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

+1 for the Stamps. I’ve been using the Stamp 7 on all my bikes for the past several years and love the grip, as well as the large size (with my size 13 feet). I have the Stamp 1 on my SL4 and can’t tell any difference.
