    E-Bike Computer?

The app did continue to run in the background but when I hung up it took me back to the main menu and since I was moving, I guess, it didn’t want to go back to the app and the screen shut off. What a PITA.

    E-Bike Computer?

Any preference between Garmin Edge and Wahoo Element? I took a ride (25 miles) today and was using my iPhone as a bike computer until I started getting important calls…screwed everything up. (Or maybe it was operator error).

    What size is my wheel?

I am riding my new Zen Photon Ultra and the speed and distance on my bike. The bike computer was set at the factory for a 26” wheel. The original specs on the bike said 27.5”. When I measure the diameter of the wheel from the floor to the top of the tire it is about 27.5” but the wheel rim is...

    E-Bike Computer?

That is a great idea! I have had wahoo and garmin bike computers on my pre e-bike road and gravel bikes. It is one of the reasons I purchased both HR and cadence sensors from Wahoo. The two concerns I have about the iPhone setup is the need to take the phone off whenever I park the bike and...

    E-Bike Computer?

Thanks, I now have 3 options to try. I have the health app on the watch tied to the phone, RidewithGPS and Cadence. I did buy a bluetooth HR and Cadence monitor, so one of those should work. Meanwhile I an waiting for the rear sprocket and a day spent getting it installed. Have a great...

    E-Bike Computer?

Just ordered the Wahoo HR monitor and added it to the kit. (Kit is now wahoo HR sensor, Wahoo cadence sensor, quadlock device for iPhone and short power cord for iPhone). Now will have the option of using the watch data or phone data. I will come back after it all arrives and tell how it...

    E-Bike Computer?

Just checked the bike, it has a USB outlet under the display. According to Apple OS10.5 I can now pair my watch to a bluetooth device in the outdoor cycle mode and display the data on my iPhone. Will now buy a bluetooth cadence sensor, short cable and a iPhone mount for the bike and try that.

    E-Bike Computer?

My Zen e-bike provides a lot of information but I want to ensure I am getting a decent workout whenever I ride. I am looking for a bike computer that will monitor cadence and heart rate. Mapping is provided by my iPhone and GPS. It seems I cant get this data without spending a lot of money...

Bafang to Rohloff belt drive question.

Thanks, I checked with the Gates website. There are only 2 options in 60T 5 bolt. One is regular, the other offset. Waiting for Zen to return the call an tell me if I need regular or offset. Then I need to find one.

Bafang to Rohloff belt drive question.

Good morning, sorry to be writing again as I thought this was pretty well resolved. In talking to the bike shop in Boise (120 miles away) that actually has the tools and experience with Gates belts and Rohloff, they made another suggestion. The tech suggested that I also consider changing the...

Bafang to Rohloff belt drive question.

Ravi, I am very satisfied with the 19t rear cog. It gives me (if I remember right) 2.89 which is close enough for me. I will be buying another 22t at some point just to have it in case I ever get into decent shape.😃 The people on this forum have great knowledge that they are willing to share.!

Bafang to Rohloff belt drive question.

I think the hardest part is going from a road bike averaging 22 mph and weighing about 20lbs to an E bike weighing close to 80lbs. But I will make a few changes that are more bike fit related and keep on riding. I can always go back to a 22 if needed.

Bafang to Rohloff belt drive question.

After a few conversations with Zen and Ravi, they were kind enough to offer swapping a 19 tooth sprocket for my 22 tooth. One of the questions that came up from the bike shop was whether the bike has a tensioning adjustment. The individual that called me back is the expert on that part of the...

Bafang to Rohloff belt drive question.

A couple of things, first I did find a bike shop that has experience in gates belts and rohloff axles. i did do a 20 mile ride averaging about 17+ mph on the flats in gear 14. I am not sure that moving that speed down around gear 11 is going to make it any harder to pedal, but it will allow me...

Bafang to Rohloff belt drive question.

This web site has some very knowledgeable and very helpful members. I am totally impressed. I think by changing the rear sprocket and riding on a regular basis this bike will certainly work out.
