Turbo Creo SL Expert Evo/Road Info.

I think he might mean a chain keeper. Some people complained of chain drops, especially on the earlier Creo’s. Some other causes seemed to be wrong chain installation: inner and outer teeth on the (wave type) chain ring need to match up with the proper chain links, and the rear derailleur has a...

Turbo Creo Comp SL Shifter doesn't shift

When a shift cable breaks on a ride you can tighten the H limit screw on the rear derailleur to move the chain up to a middle sprocket for the ride home. (Best to move the chain by hand to the intended sprocket, then tighten the limit screw to limit the travel to where you have put the chain)...

another alternative to mission control and bike computers, tested...

That’s a great time/average speed for such a tough and long ride! Interesting data display too. About Mission Control - every time I use it (mainly so I can see the more complete data it gives to the specialized ‘Ride’ app), it prompts me to allow it to access location services on my iPhone...

Specialized Mission Control App Details & Settings

I‘m glad your condition doesn’t stop you from maintaining a very high level of fitness, and doing that in an enjoyable way. I like to use the Specialized Ride app to get ore info from Mission Control too. I run MC on my rides with my phone in my pocket and use my garmin for info during the...

Overall power 214W and average HR only 102? That’s amazing.

Interesting find. I’d like to hear more after you do more test runs, and data that can be looked at post ride is more important to me than during ride. Will these apps allow that?

    Used creo alert, cheap!

(I’m the O.P.) I first saw this listing on eBay and followed the small-print link to the website that included the offer of a 30% discount for purchase there vs eBay. Could be the deal of the year if it’s legit but I’d be careful.

    Used creo alert, cheap!

I just came across a used size L creo expert for sale for E2100, I think in France. The price seems way too low but I thought I’d pass it on. A photo shows 2400km and 100% battery condition. Too small and too far away for me but if anyone is in the market, it might be worth a look. At less than...

Specialized Turbo Tero Step-Through 3.0 Review (Demo Ride)

Specialized corporate told me that it is an easy procedure for the LBS to restrict the Vado SL to meet class 1 specifications. An official invoice detailing that change seems like it would offer you immunity from a ticket, or lawsuit if there is an accident on a bike path.

I just got an email from Mike’s Bikes (multiple California stores) with their Black Friday sale promos. They are advertising all the Creo and Levo models in all sizes for 20% off.

Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

Stefan, I’m glad the SQ bars work for you! When I first installed them I had the same thoughts that you did. Luckily, I found them to work for me too, especially into a headwind when I’m trying to keep up with a faster road rider.

    Rene Herse, supple tire recommendations

I have the stock Pathfinder Sport 700 38 tires on my Vado sl 4.0 and I’m looking for a road tire that does it all: comfort, fast, durable, with emphasis on comfort. The rene herse Barlow pass looks interesting but I don’t know if their endurance model sacrifices too much of the comfort the...

Rear light and Front light to blinking on turbo Vado SL

Here’s a study that shows a light clipped to the biker’s heel is the best, closely followed by a blinking light on the seat post, with the solid seat post light coming in a distant last place. https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/abs/10.1177/1541931213601755

Rear light and Front light to blinking on turbo Vado SL

Flashing LED’s do greatly extend battery life, but that is not “the only reason they do it.” I read a recent study that showed a random flash pattern provides the best rider safety, followed by flashing, and finally solid lighting.

Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

About the size Vado SL for you: I am 6’3” and set the saddle height on my XL Vado SL 4.0 to 32”, measured from bottom bracket center, straight up the seat tube, to the top of the saddle. This puts it at about 1 cm short of the minimum insertion point. The stock 14 degree stem, along with the...

Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

I have both the gp3 ends and the SQL inner ends and use them both. I use the gp3 more often but I like the SQL for the more aero times like into a headwind. They let me pull my elbows in and make it easier to hunch down than the outer ends. They did seem uncomfortable and small my first few...

Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

When I first installed mine I thought they were going to be too small and uncomfortable. When I’m using them on a ride they feel fine. I only use them when I’m riding into a headwind or want to have a few minutes of a more aero position on my SL, and to vary my hand positions on a longer ride...

Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

Too bad they didn’t work for you. I have large hands (XL glove size) and they work fine for me, with no interference. I put my SQL up against the grips with the +/- switch next. The SQ bar end is small but it just fits the crook of my thumb to index finger and leaves my other fingers to rest on...
