    Electric Car thread

I think for the people who cannot live with a pure electric car for charging problems, we need a different type of hybrid as I detailed below :) https://www.gm-volt.com/threads/wondering-about-this-idea-for-a-different-type-of-hybrid.348166/

    Enviolo or Rohloff?

I was just commenting on your remark that with the same power comes the same torque, and which is incorrect for an electric motor. On my bike with a fully controllable controller, I can set different torque levels for the same Output power. This is done as I mentioned by the controller...

    Enviolo or Rohloff?

To comment on the OP question, the Rohloff will have a larger gear range. This means that is your usage condition span across a larger range, like steep hills at one end and fast speed at the other, the Rohloff will better cover that range. If on the other hand you need very low gearing for...

    Enviolo or Rohloff?

I am not sure this is quite correct. I believe the Torque formula includes rpm, and rpm can vary depending on the amps / volt relationship. Torque = Power x constant / rpm Constant = 5252 So with more rpm (speed) comes less torque and vice versa So with the same power (Volt x amps), you can have...

Evelo Omega vs Zen Photon Pro for next E Bike

I think both companies have great reputation, so ultimately it is about which bikes suits you best.

Obvious but worth asking. Did you fully charge the battery? Once fully charged, can you measure the battery output to make sure it did in fact charge properly?

    Ebike Battery connection melting

If the connector is melting something is definitely wrong, and at the very least you will need to replace that whole connector. If you cant do that yourself, you need someone who can take it apart and check if there are more bad connections that may be causing your problem. No point changing...

Has anyone retrofitted an Eviolo Automatiq?

OK, here are my thoughts. My understanding of what I am seeing. You have two interferences: The bolt of the rear rack/fender on the frame The right side adjustment screw of the rear wheel. 1) For the rack bolt, I see two things you could try to reduce the interference. Instead of a screw...

Has anyone retrofitted an Eviolo Automatiq?

I was hoping you could may have added a spacer on that side playing with the flexibility of the arm, but it looks like it is too much space to clear. Do you have pictures of the rear side from the top to see exactly how the wheel adjustment thatis in the way is structured?

I dont see the automatiq clamping to the frame. Is the interference with the part of the automatiq that sticks out, if so, have you tried all possible rotation of the hub to see if one position clears it? can you take a picture?
