    Digital Torque Wrench

I have both a foot pound and inch pound torque wrench, neither are digital. I’ve never used one on my bike and don’t feel the need. I usually only use a torque wrench on critical items on cars and trucks, such as bearings a head bolts. I have started using them for lug nuts on cars to make...

I rode 22 miles on a hot and windy day. Last time I nearly hit a deer, today a turkey vulture. I normally just let the bike coast down hills but since last time where a deer ran out in front of me I’ve slowed a little. Some hills are steep enough you an hit 35 mph. Today I was probably going...

I rode 22 miles today and for the first time I about hit a deer. I’ve had several run out in front of me but far enough in front of me and I was going slow enough they weren’t close calls. This time I was going downhill, about 30 mph when it ran out in front of me. I was hard on the brakes...

RabH I just got back from Ireland a week ago, your pictures seem similar but different. The roads look just as narrow. My picture below is a rural road I ride on and is near my house. I think the pavement is similar in width and texture to a lot of roads in Ireland, Scotland and England...

Not much bike riding here lately. We spent two weeks in Ireland, then catching up on mowing and other chores, then I got a cold. It’s weird, all the Irish people think us Americans have a funny accent when they are the ones with the accent.;) All my pictures look a lot like Rabh’s so I will...

I rode 17 miles today. There just isn’t a lot of interesting scenery in Western Illinois, no mountains or oceans, mostly farm fields and trees. There are some hills, today I had 610 feet of elevation gain but even the hills aren’t much. In the past I focused on barn pictures but lately I’ve...

Okay...which one of you did this???

I’m not sure that gets it any closer, I lock it up by the middle of the bike. I’m sure someone could back a truck up to it, stand on the tailgate and lift it up over the pole but the bike does weigh 50 pounds. The place I lock it up to is very public and I’m in there about 5 minutes or less.

I rode 17 miles today, a little breezy and cool but not terrible. A couple of abandoned building. The first one is an old school or township government building. The second one an old farm house and they built a newer house nearby the old one.

When was the last time You listened to a record album?

Apparently vinyl records are making a comeback. We bought my daughter a setup for Christmas and she must have 50 records by now. She snagged a couple of mine, Pink Floyd The Wall being a somewhat valuable one. I still have a setup but it’s newer and pretty low quality.

Unsolicited comments about your ebike lately?

The comments I’ve received have been neutral or negative. No one has called me a cheater but its seems to unsaid. Most of the negative people are nice about it though.

I rode 14 miles today, very nice weather but a little breezy. The first picture is a house trailer I’ve ridden by several times. I like pictures of abandoned things and always wonder what the story is. The framed up an addition but it’s caved in. I don’t think anybody ever occupied it. I...

I got back on the bike today. I haven’t ridden much in the last month, bad weather, family stuff, went down to southern Illinois for the eclipse and other lane excuses. I rode 16 miles today, warm for this time of year 84 degrees f. A picture from my ride, not much to see and a couple of...
