E-bike user survey: charging pattern and market perspective

You might want to review a similar thread from last year: https://forums.electricbikereview.com/threads/ebike-riders-we-need-your-help-for-your-feedback.53910/ Perhaps the original poster would be willing to compare results with your survey.

    Hello

My niece's husband has one. (not a Rungu but very similar) He uses it for hunting and the dual front wheels provide more stability in winter conditions on very rough terrain. This is especially true when dragging a deer out of the woods. I've tried it and it feels awkward at high speed on the...

    Upcoming sales?

Along with many others, I always have my eyes open for my next bike. Mine is 6 yrs old now with well over 10K miles. I'm curious what some of these "newer" features are. My current bike has front fork and seatpost suspension, 500 watt rear hub motor, dual batteries, hyd disk brakes, 10 spd...

Cranks rotating when the wheel turns

The freewheel pawls disengage and just click when you pedal backwards. You can't apply enough pedal pressure to activate the torque sensor. I'm not sure why the cadence sensor doesn't activate. Must be a lockout circuit somewhere. Anyway, as a safety measure, I always switch to PAS 0 before...

Cranks rotating when the wheel turns

No. Both the torque and cadence sensors on the Pedego do not function when the crank turns in reverse.

Cranks rotating when the wheel turns

This also happens on my hub drive Pedego when walking the bike backward, and I'm told it's normal. I simply turn off the power to avoid any issues.

    Do I need an eMTB?

It would be interesting to find out if the OP of this nearly 9 month old post made his choice, and if so, how it's working out.

Best place to buy a battery

If you post some pics of the bike, battery and connectors, you might get more suggestions. If your battery is "generic" and not proprietary, you may be able to use another source to buy one. However, as stated by @John from Connecticut above, lithium batteries are nothing to fool around with...

Show us pictures of where you ride your ebikes!

During a ride on Pennsylvania's Pine Creek Trail this week, I noticed a gas well being drilled adjacent to the trail & creek. I suppose it was bound to happen eventually, since this portion of North Central PA sits on top of the gas rich Marcellus Shale formation. It's a shame really. Pine...

Not sure whats wrong please help

There are various methods of cleaning battery contacts. If you post a pic of both the male and female connectors, you might get more suggestions. Cleaning the connectors is likely a temporary fix at best, but worth a try. As mentioned by @Gionnirocket above, you will eventually have to...

    Digital Torque Wrench

I've stripped too many threads with digital torque wrenches over the years. Unless you're willing to spend the $$ for a good quality mechanics grade digital wrench, do what I did and get a good beam type wrench.

25% Off Sale on High Quality Grin Batteries

I live in PA and have purchased several batteries from Grin without any agreement. Not sure about other states though. Be aware that there is a tariff on batteries imported into the US from Canada though. It was $120 on my last order.

Saddle pressure, numbness, and maintaining sexual health at 59

The Spiderflex uses the standard rail mount system found on most saddles. It should work fine with the Suntour.

    Battery voltages.

The 21AH rating on the battery refers to it's capacity, not how much current it will supply. The 22A rating on the controller is the maximum current it will supply to the motor. 22A should be fine for a 750W motor. Some batteries and controllers have fuses which are usually rated between 30...

Saddle pressure, numbness, and maintaining sexual health at 59

I've been using the Spiderflex for 7 years now, with over 7K miles. It's still the most comfortable for me. Saddles are a very personal item though, and one size does not fit all. The manufacturer offers a 30 day money back guarantee (minus shipping) so you can easily return it if it doesn't...

My Favorite Bike Trails in the Northeastern US

If the bike operates normally with the throttle unplugged, you should be able to remove it. The thumb throttle body on most bikes I've seen, is held in place with a small set screw that can be difficult to find. Remove the grip & brake lever assembly, and with the set screw loosened, the...

My Favorite Bike Trails in the Northeastern US

I haven't tried the Adirondack Rail Trail yet. It's just 10 miles in length and not worth a 4+ hour drive. I've been waiting for additional sections to be completed before making the trip. Some information on the trail is available here: https://www.traillink.com/trail/adirondack-rail-trail/...

    Air Horns

As mentioned by foofer above, the AirZound is popular with cyclists, and quite effective as long as you remember to recharge it. The air canister is also a bit clunky, and tricky to mount...
