In addition to the 5A current rating, make sure the fuse / holder you use is rated for the battery voltage as well. Most automotive type fuses are only rated for voltages up to 32V. Higher voltages can cause an arc, even if the fuse is blown.

I'm often bothered by side sun glare during early morning & late evening rides. I can see where this visor would help. It would also keep the sun off your ear tips as well. It wouldn't work with my helmet mounted mirror though.

Possible, but unlikely with a 2.5 year-old battery. Unless it was mistreated, these symptoms would occur gradually, not suddenly.

You might also check for a loose or dirty contact on your charger plug. The next time you charge the battery, manipulate the connector to see if you can duplicate the red/green light condition. If so, you may need to replace the charger connector and/or cord. Hopefully, it isn't a bad...

Check & clean the connectors on both the bike & battery. A dirty or burned contact can cause the symptoms you describe. A fouled contact adds resistance and creates a momentary voltage drop which can cause the controller to cut out.

The joke is, I ride my class 2 throttled bike in a safer, less obtrusive manner than many class 1 and class 3 bikes I see. The class system is meaningless to the general public, and many law enforcement agencies as well. Unfortunately, any idiot can make an a$$ out of themselves on ANY class bike.

Both. I ride with a group when one is available but mostly solo. I'm a "hypermiler" and enjoy 50+ mile rides. My longest so far is 92 in a 7 hour time frame. Most others I ride with can't keep up.
