    $10,000.00?

Every post that I read said this. Who is saying that it takes all of $10k to product a bike?

    $10,000.00?

Yeah I mean I will always view a new car as a luxury "purchase," to be clear. It's throwing away a nice chunk of money to be the first to fart in the seats. Maybe the extra warranty makes sense on certain vehicles. I don't see a Tesla Model 3 (had one years ago), or comparable cars are "luxury...

Jack Rabbit XG vs Lectric XL Lite

Same. These pop up here and there around town. Seems like it would do really well on flat ground, but I bet I could burn the 300 wh battery down in no time on the hills near me. Would be surprised if it did more than 10 miles. Maybe there are some online range tests. Edit: and there are..

    $10,000.00?

Teslas are luxury items in that new cars are luxury items. Nobody needs to buy a new car and there is an extra cost in doing so. For luxury car, I view something ultra premium and comfort focused like an S-Class as a “luxury car,” other cars being “premium.” Anyhow, definitely splitting hairs. I...

Many would laugh at the statement that Teslas are luxury items.

Jack Rabbit XG vs Lectric XL Lite

JackRabbit will have less utility, and far less range. It's a really tiny vehicle without pedals. I would consider the Lectric against the REI Co-op cargo bikes (54 lbs). Upgrade picks are the Carbo (33 lbs), and the Tern Quick Haul (50 lbs). Whatever you get, you'll want it to have a rear...

    Fourth Best Helmet Half-Priced

We initially went with VTech top rated helmets, but later on switched to Lumos MIPS helmets with lights. Drivers are the larger threat in our town.

Phone mount that stabilizes camera for dash cam use

The key is that the software is designed around dash cam needs. So it loops until you need to save a clip after an incident.

Phone mount that stabilizes camera for dash cam use

Has anyone heard of Dashcam.bike? It's a pretty elegant solution to turn your phone into a dash cam.

    $10,000.00?

All I’m saying is that people aren’t fools for buying Specialized. Having ridden cheap secondhand bikes (and loving them) for most of my life, the Specialized name means nothing to me. I chose to buy their bikes recently after test riding against the competition.

The Specialized motor does 90 nm of torque in near silence. The Class 3 Bosch motors are noisy as anything. Pedal feel is at least as good as Bosch. The motor software can be micro-tuned for very specific assistance. The Bosch smart system is decent, and I have it, but I don’t think it’s on par.

I don’t know about the Levo (though it seems to be well loved), but their other bikes like the Vado are fantastic. Easily class leading. Vado undercuts Gazelle and R&M while having a better motor and better software. Comfort-wise the Creo 2 was miles better than any other SL bike I’ve ridden.

    $10,000.00?

I have a future shock bike too, and that was a primary selling point. I've read a ton of reviews since and many (if not most) prefer the redshift suspension stem and seat post to the future shock and STR seat suspension. Just realized recently that the STR is incompatible with rear racks. Glad I...

    $10,000.00?

It's worth it because the companies that make these products determine the price and there are few alternatives in the e-bike world. Gotta pay to play. Bikes bring a lot of joy, so we do. At the same time it is ridiculous that bikes cost $10k+. Especially when some at that level have issues...

Been wondering about this as well. He hasn't been in a video in months and someone else has been doing the reviews.

New High Torque IGH announced by 3x3

They have a two-button digital control as well. Haven't found it for sale either, but if it's some dumb price like a Rohloff I won't bother.

Wow, 554% gear ratio and electronic shifting.. Maybe I'll swap my Enviolo for this.

Yeah, that makes sense. My use case is at the other end of the spectrum, which is entirely grocery runs with a 30L bag. And in a very hot climate.

    Creo Upgrades and Modifications

Now that some time has passed, I'll add that I really dislike carrying a 30-50 lb load in a backpack. As mschewtt said, the physics are working against you. The bike becomes super top-heavy, and as a rider I feel constrained and vulnerable. 25 lbs and less is OK, but I am really not a fan of...
