    New to the e-bike

I’m in my 30s in great shape. I ride my e-bikes all the time, as well as traditional bikes. These things are just fantastic adventure machines. The battery helps with sweat, hills, and cargo. Also have had some of my best workouts on the e-bikes. And plus, I’d be in my car otherwise.. Really...

    Bike radar

FWIW this seems like it could be better than the Varia. I like how it tells you if the car has moved over to the other lane to pass. Some other nice upgrades as well...

    Deaf Riders

Thank you for linking that. A sudden severe drop in hearing is a medical emergency that can sometimes be reversed with steroids. You need to get to the emergency department ASAP. Not all emergency docs are even aware of this, but if you show them this info they will utilize it. Had a...

    Bike radar

The other cool thing about the Varia is the light will remain solid but flash specifically at the cars it detects. So even if you're not paying attention to screen, or the sound alerts it's still helping. Next time you're in the car, try to look for Varias.

New , Gazelle Eclipse , Class 3 , Bosch Smart System

Thanks for chiming in. I find this bike to solve several of my personal complaints with my 2023 Ultimate C380. Had I predicted ergonomic issues with the twist shift, I would have opted for the T version. The other seemingly obvious fix for that would have been an Automatiq. Curious if you could...

    Graven radar

I really like the Garmin. Initially hardwired them to our Gazelles (at a great expense of time and money,) but then found this to a mistake when I started riding another bike more frequently. Bought the battery version and it's been fantastic. The battery lasts for 6-8 hours of riding. Still...

Whom pays for your charge ?

We’re talking around half a kWh per charge. That’s not even peanuts. Peanuts are more expensive. :)

    Too mullet?

Maybe I’m too much of a casual but I think mullets look better (on bikes).

How Many e-Bikes do you have and ride ??

Edge is great. You have to judge an artist on their terms, not on your own. I can play tons of classical piano rep but that doesn’t mean that I’m a better musician than him.

Bosch Battery Multi-Connector Cable - Bosch Performance Line (Gen 4) eBike System 2

If they want to be proprietary, let them do the work to figure all this out. :) In my experience multiple shops were happy to contact the local rep and discuss solutions. Foofer was right about the wattage too. AFAIK none of this info is readily available to us owners.

Ergonomic adjustment / suspension stem for Gazelle bike?

The Redshift stem is very well reviewed. I found that it needs to have the right elastomers fitted, and there is a small break-in period. If you're commuting primarily in winter the elastomers might harden a bit. Might want to research that a bit more. It's definitely the most popular suspension...

Bosch Battery Multi-Connector Cable - Bosch Performance Line (Gen 4) eBike System 2

It is confusing! I littered the forum with questions when installing accessories on my Bosch bike (and for many other topics, lol). Here is a photo of the Smart System connector You might want to run all of this by your purchasing dealer. They should be able to work with the local Bosch...

    $10,000.00?

There are not a lot of options for those 20” wheels. I’ve read that many owners upgraded both shocks along with new wheels for better comfort. Also many reports of it breaking down after a relatively short period of time. This review is pretty in depth on the suspension...

    $10,000.00?

Even with some of the better brands the component quality should be a lot better. Granted, they don't cheap out on safety. The R&M Load 75 has a $200 suspension fork. An $11-15k cargo bike. $11,000-15,000 USD… and a $200 suspension fork! A lot of those "reviewers" aren't independent, instead...

    Turbo Tero 3.0, anyone?

I do wonder about the Tero as a product. It's really not much of an off-pavement bike. The 4.0 I tried was less capable and comfortable than my Diverge. The Diverge can take some really chunky nasty terrain without beating me up. Vado (full size) just seems like the better all-rounder product...

Why does it seem Vado owners are getting KINEKT 2.1 vs Redshift Seat Post ?

Did you ever contact them about this? These seat posts should be designed to last many, many years. I hear you though, a bad experience and poor customer support for a premium product like that is souring.

Why does it seem Vado owners are getting KINEKT 2.1 vs Redshift Seat Post ?

Even though I’m a very happy Redshift owner, I wanted to note that I watched a couple in-depth YouTube comparisons and the Kinect came out on top. For a heavier bike it seems like the more comfortable and better option. Very happy that my Redshift is light enough for my acoustic gravel bike however.
