Help finding a mid-drive, torque ebike with a throttle and natural pedal assist?

Back to the OP's question, I found one that might meet his/ her requirements. The Himiway A5 Rambler Premium ($2,199) has a Bafang M600 mid-drive (500 watts with 120nm torque, 48v/15ah battery, torque sensor, hydraulic brakes, Shimano 9-speed gear shift and thumb throttle. They have a new one...

    Anyone have the Zebra Pro?

I have the original Himiway Cruiser (over 2,600 miles), and I've beat the hell out of it (in a good way). It has taken a lickin' & kept on tickin'. It still runs great, but, 4 years later, there are some things I'd like in my next ebike. Obviously, I like Himiway. Being older now but still doing...

    Upcoming sales?

Thanks. I understand about the throttle, as I rarely use it. However, I get the occasional jones to go single-track and ride aggressively (my wife doesn't like it, but you can't take the 15 yr old boy out of the 53 yr old man), which leads to wipeouts, which leads to injuries, which leads to not...

Help finding a mid-drive, torque ebike with a throttle and natural pedal assist?

I like both of those A LOT, but the complete lack of suspension looks to be a deal-killer for me.

Help finding a mid-drive, torque ebike with a throttle and natural pedal assist?

I want/ need the throttle option for emergency use only. If I wipe out & can't pedal (happened a couple of times due to aggressive riding), it's nice to be able to use that throttle to get help or get home. It's my "break glass in case of fire" option.

Help finding a mid-drive, torque ebike with a throttle and natural pedal assist?

I CAN do without the throttle (I'm 53 & regularly do 25-35 mile rides that incorporate pave bike trails along w/ some single-track/ technical), but, because I have wiped out a few times, whether on single track or hitting a patch of loose gravel on the road where the bike slid out, and not being...

    Upcoming sales?

@Doggyman1202 Agreed. I've been reading up on the subject, and the best sales on ebikes are when demand is the lowest (Labor Day is the best, but good deals through Feb... maybe early March). The other thing keeping me a little at bay is that there are newer models coming out in the next month...

    Upcoming sales?

While I obsess about which ebike will be my upgrade, there is also the internal debate about whether I should buy now (keep in mind, I have an ebike now which works perfectly fine, but I WANT the newer features on newer bikes... mine's 4+ yrs old) or wait until later this spring? I've seen...

    Hello from Folsom, CA!

@indianajo I test rode the Aventon Aventure2 today... loved the ride. However, I couldn't read the display with my polarized sunglasses, and then, when i did take my sunglasses off (while riding, no less), I had to get real close to see what level of assist I was using. I was talking with...

    Upgrading from original Himiway Cruiser

Those are under consideration, but, my feelings here, you're paying extra for the name. They do offer, most likely, better components, but the battery size (or lack thereof) has me leary. I'd like to be able to go on longer treks without worrying about the battery dying. Also, the torque on some...

    Hello from Folsom, CA!

Curious on your opinion as to which ones are stinkers... and why, please. Interested to hear as I go back and forth constantly.

Review Ride1Up Prodigy V2 XR (chain version)

I am considering the Prodigy V2 step-through w/ the CVT (Gates belt). Saw a YouTube review that they got more miles than estimated. Only going 20-30 would concern me. Why do you think it would only get 20-30? Appreciate your thoughts on that.

    Upgrading from original Himiway Cruiser

Now in my early 50s, looking to upgrade, from the original Himiway Cruiser (step-over). It's been a great bike... just did a 30-mile ride earlier. I definitely want a step-through (not as nimble as I once was) and am thinking about a mid-drive motor, possibly with a Gates belt-drive, a torque...

    Hello from Folsom, CA!

Have owned the original Himiway Cruiser since early 2020. It's been a great bike... fast, powerful and a powerful battery for longer rides. Now in my early 50s, looking to upgrade... somewhat. I definitely want a step-through (not as nimble as I once was) and am thinking about a mid-drive motor...
