    Vado 5.0: Winter battery cover

I'd say: no, save that money. -2°C is nothing to worry about. If in doubt you could simply take your battery indoors.

    Brake Indicator?

Not all of them. F.e. the Shimano BR-MT200 or BR-MT500 brake takes Shimano B01S resin pads which come 2.0mm of material new and should be exchanged when the material is down to 0.5mm. Including the backing carrier metal they are 3.8 mm thick.

FWIW Shimano (as well as KMC) quick-links are not reusable, I trust you are aware of that. Degreasing the chain in the classical tool can't have had that impact on your chain. I would mark the chain pin that I mounted myself, just to find it better when checking shortly afterwards. Are you...

    Brake Indicator?

There is no audible brake wear indicator (apart from scratching noise metal on metal when it's far too late) and your eyes combined with a torch is the visual indicator. Do you have a Shimano BR-MT200 brake caliper? if you can't figure out the wear by torch then take your wheel off and pull the...

🙁 Ideas: due to noticing the worn cogs late and using them with the new chain? Or a not correctly mounted Shimano pin/quick lock?

    Vado 5 charging question

Uuups. So it isn't true that all US-microwave ovens have a warning at front: not suitable for drying pets? 🥳

The grub screw has a thread lock and yes you should use Loctite which isn't preapplied.

Easy. Just get the Brose repair kit and buy a normal Gates belt same size for your comparison report. The people with the torn cheap belt replacements went for the Brose exchange kit afterwards and I doubt they'll buy another cheap belt just for the comparison. I doubt that. The rider who...

... and I've heard that real men don't need/read manuals 😆. So why should they waste time filling them with helpful Infos. 😉

Well, it is both. The sweet spot and the weak spot of the Brose motor. The belt driven motor makes it the silent motor to be enjoyed. No other motor in the market is that silent. But it seems that Brose is still struggling hard to figure out how to make it more reliable. That's why Brose asks...

Sorry, I don't know. There are various explanations why it is stronger: fiberglas or aramid fibers or some other material. Couldn't find out the true story yet.

I'm showing from German threads two Brose drive S motors opened due to a torn belt. Both times the belt was torn again shortly after replacing the first belt with a new 'normal' Gates belt you can buy and which has the correct size. P.S.: the pictures were taken after the exchanged belt was...

Indeed. I inquired a €-based shop who sends to the U.S. but stated: not for the chosen Shimano chain and cassette. Another geo-blocking issue?

80$? o_O There must be something wrong with my screen. I couldn't recognise the gold plating of that KMC chain. Are chains that expensive in the U.S.? Here I'd pay app. 28€ for Shimano XT-chain CN-HG701-11 with 138 links, or 42€ for Shimano XTR-chain CN-HG901-11 with 138 links.

Brose motor production in Berlin/Germany started 2014: https://www.brose.com/de-de/presse/2014/brose-e-bike-antriebe-produktion-made-in-germany.html but rumors spread that Specialized didn't mount the motor bolts with proper Nm causing the frame breaks. No brake pads arrived yet? Special C19...

Vado 5.0 SL replacement chain: Advice

No, it is good advice to count the links of your existing chain - be it dirty or not, which is up to you and your chain care - before ordering a new chain. So you'll know the length needed you're looking for. Putting the new chain on afterbuy you're best off following that guide you've linked.
