I think Mr. Rás probably hit it pretty close... then add a soft and saturated market in the US and the numbers just don't make it. I have a similar Makita hammer drill for over 30 years that I abused the hell out of and it still works as new. Many a hammer hole using bits beyond it's rated capacity. Many of their dishwashers have a similar story as yours. Everything Bosch is not golden.
