People have reasons for wanting the bikes they do 😉. Hope he gets a chance to test ride soon, and that he finds the right fit for his needs! REI did some work on my Flow, and they were great! I paid them up front, then sent Espin a screen shot of my bill and they reimbursed me within 24 hours...

REI will work on almost any ebike, and, their prices are very reasonable. You can pick up a brochure at the store that lists all their services and prices, or look online.

That's why, when we travel, we never go on a vacation; we go on an adventure. Looking at it that way is a much better mindset, because not much that happens can run the experience .. It's all part of the adventure 😉.

FWIW, you can "switch" between Class 1 and Class 2 riding by just not using, or disconnecting (plug and play on most bikes, I think) the throttle 😉. Not sure how you would switch between Class 1 and 3, since, if the motor CAN go 28mph, it's automatically Class 3, whether you ARE going that fast...

What kind of riding will you be mostly doing? Paved surfaces? MTB dirt trails? Commuting? Match the bike to your prevalent riding style/conditions. Fatter tires don't necessarily give a nicer ride...
