Good idea. It's saved me a bunch of times. Checking tires for punctures, cleaning/lubing chain (wax), adjusting derailleur, removing wheels etc. It's just so much easier.

I feel your pain. I'm more of a geek than mechanically inclined. That said I do have a Park Tool stand and do maintenance and minor to moderate repair/replacement. Not afraid of getting my hands dirty, but anything major is a trip to LBS.

Because it's not just that. It's looking like a default/across the board/world wide tariff of minimum 10%. And perhaps more for China (maybe others). Your prices are going to go up, which I don't think most people wanted or voted for (even though that is exactly what they unwittingly voted for).

Tariffs are a basic mistake. The only reason to do it is a target to a specific region/country. Other reasons would be to equalize goods such as Chinese EVs etc, The prices for regular goods in the US will go up. Congrats...

What is causing the flats? I had 3 flats in 4 months on 27.5 x 2.6 tires (Maxxis) and they were all due to blackberry thorns. Went with tubeless with Stans and zero flats since (4 years).

Well it's been over two weeks... Weather and other distractions have kept me off the bike. Last time out was gorgeous weather but today was quite cool at 10C and rather cloudy. I felt rather out of shape (only cuz it's true) and had to convince myself to get out after grocery shopping. So... did...

One wonders if the disasters in California (fires etc.) and Florida et al (storm related ) have anything to do with the greedy insurance company decisions...
