REVIEW: QR-E 250W ELECTRIC BOOSTER BICYCLE MOTOR AND B60i AND B70 BATTERY

Your honesty is much appreciated. I didn't know about those limitations. That sucks. I was wondering about that version. If it's easier better to get 36V (non-battery version) and also get something like this...

REVIEW: QR-E 250W ELECTRIC BOOSTER BICYCLE MOTOR AND B60i AND B70 BATTERY

Yep. My spouse and I did a complete tour from Washington back to SoCal, visiting every lighthouse. They are magical places. I'm curious about the restrictions for shipping batteries since I can order them from Amazon or eBay with no problem. How much would you consider selling your Mute for?

REVIEW: QR-E 250W ELECTRIC BOOSTER BICYCLE MOTOR AND B60i AND B70 BATTERY

What region are you located in? (If you don't mind my asking. I won't take it personal if you don't want to mention.) Also, what are the restrictions? I've shipped stuff back to Amazon that has batteries. Just required a special label. Or is there a high cost I'm not aware of?

Did you give up on your QiRoll or still use it?

REVIEW: QR-E 250W ELECTRIC BOOSTER BICYCLE MOTOR AND B60i AND B70 BATTERY

Yep, I was watching a video. Wow it's way too loud and too much of a hassle to even play around with. I really was hoping to find something that I would enable once in awhile and for the most part not use at all. A lot of the ebike solutions are all or nothing. My main goal isn't for a motor to...

REVIEW: QR-E 250W ELECTRIC BOOSTER BICYCLE MOTOR AND B60i AND B70 BATTERY

So is that one of the main problems with the Pro version — the weird voltage requirement? Is the Mute more compatible with third-party batteries?

REVIEW: QR-E 250W ELECTRIC BOOSTER BICYCLE MOTOR AND B60i AND B70 BATTERY

So it might be an option for what I would use it for. Tempting. What would make you never try it again?

I am surprised it actually works. Does it offer resistance when it’s powered off?

REVIEW: QR-E 250W ELECTRIC BOOSTER BICYCLE MOTOR AND B60i AND B70 BATTERY

Ha! I May or may not get that. It's just tempting because of Prime. Agreed on the 48v. My concern with that one is it doesn't seem to use a tape or have replacement wheels. This one is interesting in a MacGyver kind of way. What is it?

REVIEW: QR-E 250W ELECTRIC BOOSTER BICYCLE MOTOR AND B60i AND B70 BATTERY

I'll keep looking. I also found this tempting since it is Amazon Prime but I’ve not read any reviews of it outside of Amazon. From what I can tell it engages and disengages physically via the throttle or switch but I might be misunderstanding the function. Would it have the same issues as the...

REVIEW: QR-E 250W ELECTRIC BOOSTER BICYCLE MOTOR AND B60i AND B70 BATTERY

I'm open to the possibility of a mid-drive. I had a Bafang mid-drive once but didn't like it. It felt too much like riding a motorcycle and always needed to be working hard with the cadence stuff. I see TSDZ2s on sale often. But what about batteries? I'd prefer to have a small water bottle...

REVIEW: QR-E 250W ELECTRIC BOOSTER BICYCLE MOTOR AND B60i AND B70 BATTERY

Honesty is what counts the most and I appreciate it! I was mainly interested in Qiroll because of its lightweight, small footprint, etc. But if those problems it has are deal breakers, I'm listening. The expense of a mid-drive and its bulk are a concern. I've also been checking out...

    Hill Climbing Assistance

That's helpful info! I noticed there are two different versions, each with a larger battery capacity and a big price difference. I wonder which is 'enough' for the hill climbing assistance. I don't mind pedaling. I just want the boost. QR-E PRO +H70 Battery Kit — $439 QR-E MUTE-Plus +B70*1...

    Hill Climbing Assistance

I'm about 155 pounds, but I carry a lot of stuff roundtrip to work, and I'm surrounded by steep hills. I am considering a friction drive like the QiROLL because I only need something for hill climbing, and I prefer not to have a bunch of extra 'ebike weight' just for hill climbing assistance...

REVIEW: QR-E 250W ELECTRIC BOOSTER BICYCLE MOTOR AND B60i AND B70 BATTERY

I was told this by the seller on eBay: "The uphill performance is like this, the MUTE motor can only exert its maximum power after exceeding 8km\h, so when your uphill speed exceeds this speed, the motor can provide an additional continuous power of about an adult." Does the Pro version also...

REVIEW: QR-E 250W ELECTRIC BOOSTER BICYCLE MOTOR AND B60i AND B70 BATTERY

Good idea. Someone posted the exact model and brand of tape they use. I'm sure ACE will have that or similar. Good luck, and looking foward to your results.

REVIEW: QR-E 250W ELECTRIC BOOSTER BICYCLE MOTOR AND B60i AND B70 BATTERY

It appears there is a quick release attachment that can be purchased, which I imagine would help with swapping it with diffferent bikes. I would take the entire thing to a local hardware store and tell them what you need. If it has a well trained and friendly staff, they can help you match the...

REVIEW: QR-E 250W ELECTRIC BOOSTER BICYCLE MOTOR AND B60i AND B70 BATTERY

That's impressive. Do you have any hills around you? Can the device be engaged or disengaged physically, easily? I'm thinking if it works to use it mainly when returning home (up a bunch of hills) but leave it physically disengaged (if possible) for flat or downhill.

That is concerning about the tape. Have you tried that 3M flooring tape mentioned in earlier posts?
