REVIEW: QR-E 250W ELECTRIC BOOSTER BICYCLE MOTOR AND B60i AND B70 BATTERY

Agreed. Jason from QiRoll has been responding to my emails. Flex is bidirectional, FYI. But I'll probably go for the Pro version since it's more powerful and purchase an extra battery for it, eventually, when I order. There is a two-battery version. However, Jason said: "What is the riding...

This thread has made me strongly consider avoiding mid-drive as an option. I appreciate all the warnings.

REVIEW: QR-E 250W ELECTRIC BOOSTER BICYCLE MOTOR AND B60i AND B70 BATTERY

I've been researching alternatives on the Endless Sphere forums, here, and eBikes Discord. Everything has its pros and cons. Mid-drives have a lot of power and can handle almost any terrain or condition, but they seem to break frequently, wear down the drivetrain a lot, and are often unreliable...

REVIEW: QR-E 250W ELECTRIC BOOSTER BICYCLE MOTOR AND B60i AND B70 BATTERY

Yeah, the appeal of friction drive is that it can be wholly disengaged and is lightweight, but based on what you're saying, I'm unsure about this method.

The mid-drive I'm looking at should work with any 36/48 batteries. See my other reply.

That sucks on the delivery delay. I wonder why. I appreciate your honest perspective and second thoughts. It appears the clutch system works differently than expected, giving me pause. The pro's power is appealing, but the proprietary battery makes me doubt using it as a DIY person. My...

Can a voltage regulator be used to connect the Pro to standard 36V batteries? Like these ones.

REVIEW: QR-E 250W ELECTRIC BOOSTER BICYCLE MOTOR AND B60i AND B70 BATTERY

Welcome back! How many miles do you go on a full battery? I have three different commutes: 1) 10 miles - 5 miles down, 5 miles up. One thousand feet climb. 2) 20 miles - 5 miles down, 15 miles flat. 3) 40 miles - 5 miles down, 15 miles flat, 5 miles up. One thousand feet climb. I wonder if a...

Also, just wondering. Can you tell if the regen is truly working? Have you measured before/after voltage, etc.?

REVIEW: QR-E 250W ELECTRIC BOOSTER BICYCLE MOTOR AND B60i AND B70 BATTERY

Is the Flex more downgraded than the Mute Plus? Or is it the same as the Mute Plus? You mention, "While it doesn't gain charge or slow the bike much, it is slightly noticeable on long downhill runs." So is the regen working as a 'brake' but not as an actual 'regen?' Sorry, I know I'm full of...

REVIEW: QR-E 250W ELECTRIC BOOSTER BICYCLE MOTOR AND B60i AND B70 BATTERY

From what I’m reading, the Pro version will utilize regen to take advantage of constantly being physically attached but the Mute or Flex versions will not. Also, the Pro version is recommended over the Mute or Flex for any potential hill climbing assistance. Please correct me if I’m wrong if...

REVIEW: QR-E 250W ELECTRIC BOOSTER BICYCLE MOTOR AND B60i AND B70 BATTERY

What made you decide on the Flex vs the Pro? Is the lower wattage an advantage or a disadvantage? Did you order directly or through eBay? It says on their website 7 to 10 business days via FedEx. Is that inaccurate?

REVIEW: QR-E 250W ELECTRIC BOOSTER BICYCLE MOTOR AND B60i AND B70 BATTERY

The more I research alternatives down this rabbit hole, including mid-drive, hub, different friction brands, etc, the more likely I'm going to get the qiroll. Thq question is to get the Pro or the Flex version and stock up on batteries like these. The Pro has more power and regen braking...

Amazon prime would be the only reason to even try it. Finding a safe and suitable battery would be the main challenge. I like the water bottle form factor type. Is the qiroll battery lightweight?

By the way, what do you think of this Amazon alternative? https://a.co/d/8Okq5g5 It supports any 48v battery, the throttle physically engages and disengages the device. And it's bi-directional. But there is no official company website or support so all that is through Amazon Prime.

REVIEW: QR-E 250W ELECTRIC BOOSTER BICYCLE MOTOR AND B60i AND B70 BATTERY

Jason from Qiroll replied to me about the flex battery compatibility with a third party battery. I'm asking him a couple more questions, but it's promising. That can make or break a sale, whether or not someone responds to me with support. The more I research options, the more the Qiroll might...
