Electric bikes giving Ukrainian reconnaissance missions a new level of stealth and speed

Bicycles have been used in warfare, probably since the development of the bike. The only difference today is the added motor.

How to Switch to Clipless Pedals

Pedal fitment should be standard (that is the threads). Being an eBike makes no difference; it is still a bike. Shoes and pedals are a personal choice. More of an idea of why you are considering the change and what you hope to achieve would help with further advice. Also, do you want to walk in...

MY23 Riese and Muller Supercharger 2 GT Rohloff - 53cm - Warm Silver Matt

I do have one, which I have had since 2015, on my Salsa Mukluk. I am very happy with it. So much so, that I have gone with one for the Riese and Muller SuperCharger 2. One thing to remember is that the frame diamond on the Riese and Muller is relatively small, so the frame bag will only add a...

MY23 Riese and Muller Supercharger 2 GT Rohloff - 53cm - Warm Silver Matt

All Bike Bag Dude frame bags are custom-made, specific to your bike and colour choices. Mine is being made as we speak and costs AU$395 delivered (US $263), so not for the faint-hearted :) I do not have any specific issues with the Fabric water bottles peruse, I just I prefer Camelback bottles...

    Brake squeal

I have done similar using CRC Brakleen but have not found it effective, so I am not surprised by your outcome. I will try isopropyl alcohol next time before going to the next step of pad replacements (unless they need replacing anyway).

Is The Garmin Mount The Most Common For Bicycle Accessories?

I suspect that GoPro mounts are up there and probably even more popular. I cannot recall coming across a specific accessory mentioning Garmin (I am not saying that they do not exist) but i do see a lot that use GoPro mounts without mentioning GoPro. Even Garmin uses a GoPro-style mount for its...

    Brake squeal

Clean the discs, maybe check or change the type pads (a bit extreme but still sometimes worth a try), maybe brake squeal spray might work ... and the list goes on... nine ways according to Bike Radar :) Disc brake squeal is common as. A Google search should come up with a plethora of 'solutions.'

    Floor pump for Schrader Heads

If the valve is going back into the rim, it sounds like you might find fitting a nut that holds the valve in place is worth a try first. Schrader valves should not need to much effort to connect. No different to blowing up your car tyres at the servo. If you want to go down the pump route, I...

Bosch Date Codes + Diagnostic Reports

I have just received from Japan, of all places (thanks, Amazon), a BBB BBC-111 HaulerMount, which will allow me to mount a water bottle on the top tube at the seat end whilst leaving me the flexibility to remove the battery if necessary. I need to relocate the water bottle cage from the...

    Ergon GP5 v GP3 v SQLab's 702/Innerbands

I do appreciate your input, Stefan, and I will give it more thought and take a closer look at how the innerbarends will change the reach to the various controls. My previous comments about ergonomics were not about the brakes but the ability to access the e-bike and Rohloff controls. That all...

    Ergon GP5 v GP3 v SQLab's 702/Innerbands

My partner, who is very much an aesthetics-over-function person, would probably agree with your thoughts on the GP5 grips, Stefan, whereas I am a function-over-aesthetic person, so I can see the value in the GP5 grips. I am unconvinced about the SQLabs Innerbarends as I can see them pushing the...

    Ergon GP5 v GP3 v SQLab's 702/Innerbands

Thanks, Peter. I think I will go with the GP5 grips. I do wonder but if the bar ends can be swapped out if desired.

    Ergon GP5 v GP3 v SQLab's 702/Innerbands

While I have Ergon grips on my Jones H-bar, they do not have bar ends. My new 'touring bike' has flat bars and a Rohloff E14 Shifter and is currently fitted with Ergon GP1 Evo grips, but I would like more hand positions. Hence, I am tossing between the Ergo GP5 BioKork grips and the GP3 BioKork...

MY23 Riese and Muller Supercharger 2 GT Rohloff - 53cm - Warm Silver Matt

My preference is also for the larger bottles, as having sufficient water on hand is very important in our climate here. I would prefer 750ml to one-litre bottles but can live with 710 ml.

Thanks. That Podium is being 'upgraded' to a Podium Chill ex Germany soon and/or a Camelbak knockoff from AliExpress. The Aliexpress bottles look like they may be from the same factory. I might get one to see.
