    Evelo, Gazelle, or Priority

So I've checked out Velofix per @AHicks - there is one that happens to be near the flagship REI. It states; Yes we are equipped to service all brands of Electric bikes! Our technicians can perform any mechanical or bicycle-related work on electric bikes, but they cannot diagnose electrical...

    Atlas first impressions

Wow! Congratulations on learning all the maintenance and adjustments and stuff. You give me hope as I'm only 65 - plenty of time to catch up to you and your skills! I'm sure it's very rewarding to do all that yourself. I'm still debating whether or not I'm willing to try. One advantage I do...

    Evelo, Gazelle, or Priority

Went to two more bike shops today, almost 200 miles rt. I saw lots of bikes, even 3 ebikes with IGH/belt. Salesperson at the first place told me they work on any bikes people bring in. However, for ebike motors and electronics they only work on Bosch systems since that's what they're trained...

There is no way I would build a bike and probably no way I would buy a home built one either, although it seems to work for you. My sister told me to hold off on getting an ebike because one of her friends was ordering a container full to sell. I asked no questions and made no response. Not...

    Evelo, Gazelle, or Priority

Al, again, very good points. Appreciate it. I'd love to learn more about bike maintenance - since I was a kid I loved to take things apart and fiddle with them. I've since learned the importance of being able to re-assemble what I've taken apart. Luckily, other than cleaning/lubing the...

    Atlas first impressions

Thanks so much, rbeckert, for your prompt, informative reply. Unfortunate you have an issue with your Atlas but more unfortunate the "...warranty department..." hasn't responded. This is the first instance I've found of less than stellar customer service from Evelo. Disappointing for sure...

For me, it was in my best interest to read it. Seems quite good to me.

Stefan, thanks for you input.. You make very good points, one being LBS support which has been a point frequently mentioned by many, and I do believe it is very valuable. The part about LBS that hasn't been mentioned, is that not every LBS is necessarily going to be as helpful as the next. I...

    Forum Features: Your Opinion Wanted!

Thanks, I did just that on another thread and the OP responded quickly with his results. Helpful indeed.

    Evelo, Gazelle, or Priority

Yes, it's only money. It's easy for me to spend money but I don't always feel like I'm getting the best value when I spend more. I believe there are some nuances to "you get what you pay for".

    Very little help here 🤷‍♂️

Now I see the answer to my question was right in front of me when I open a thread at the top of the page on the right in BIG green buttons 🤪 Ignore Unwatch so an old dog can learn new tricks!

Big thanks to everyone who has helped me with ideas, suggestions, comments and everything. Time is running out for the current Evelo Resolution Sale; $400 off and 1/2 price extra battery set up if purchased together = $400 ends 1/31/23. Still trying to decide but I think I want to order and try...

    Purchased an Evelo

Thanks for letting me know. Good luck with your new bikes! I understand EBC has some exciting color choices :) and they look like quality bikes. As I keep reading from others as well, Evelo does seem to have excellent customer service. And speaking of family, I'm sure it's good to follow your...

...to be sure... what? Did you get an Evelo Galaxy SL? How did it go this time around?

    Atlas first impressions

Good info here from Atlas owners and their first impressions. Thank you. There are now more reviews out than when this thread started and it's a bike I'm very interested in. How about second impressions or anything else you might add for someone considering making a purchase?

    Priority E Coast

Great! To me it looks like direct competition with the Electric Bike Company in Newport Beach from the New York City company, Priority. And, it looks like they filmed this ad about an hour away in Santa Monica. While they were in not so sunny SoCal, at least on the day they filmed, I wonder...

    Evelo, Gazelle, or Priority

Good to know. My riding will mostly be casual exploring without time constraints or necessary accomplishments like grocery shopping, so I just have to keep an eye on the battery, trip better or whatever and be sure to turn back in time. Obviously some control panels offer more info than others...

Haven't looked at Diamondback or Yuba. My biggest consideration is IGH with a belt drive, Class 3 and I want it to fit on my current hitch carrier. Interesting that manufacturers sells D2C and to retailers. I'm seeing that for a few brands. Thanks for clearing up about the Gazelle extra...

3 thoughts I much appreciate, thank you AHicks. I'm very happy to hear your wheels and spokes arrived in working order. I'm guessing the delivery service is a major factor in how the bikes arrive. From my experience I have more confidence with UPS than FedEx and I think Evelo uses UPS...
