I actually thought inside the frame would be more protected from the elements, but I don't have any experience with the outside setup.

Personally, I would have to have front suspension, which would knock out most front racks and complicate distributing the weight properly.

Am I alone in thinking the ideal touring bike would have batteries integrated into the frame ?

My 2017 Atom Lynx 6 is stuck in level 2 and is not responding to the + and - buttons. The bike has 390 miles on it.

My easy motion atom lynx 6 will not respond to the + or - button to change assistance, it simply runs through the trip data. Has anyone else had this problem ?

I've never heard of this company until a few minutes ago, but noticed the ST-1 with Bionix 350 and the MD-1 with shimano steps heavily discounted. Can anyone comment on their quality, or those two motors ?

There is a way, but you need permission (or forgiveness) from two entities. It's a little dicey.

That's a good price for the 500 and definitely your best option. If you are doing that many off-pavement miles, you will be glad you have full suspension. How can you go from Linville to Banner Elk and stay off the pavement the whole way ? The only way I know is Camp LutherRock...

To put it in perspective, the last eight miles on the road Windward is riding up to BR is the steepest road in North Carolina...

Good points..., but when 90% of the mtbers in Asheville/Brevard are vehemently opposed to e-mtbs, it does give you pause.

Like I said earlier, if you can gradually wean yourself off the sport mode as you get in better shape, it will make a huge difference with your range...but that's a heckuva lot of climbing from Linville.

Oh Jeez, I can't believe you are taking that route, there's alot of climbing after you cross the bridge at Graggs, and then going up the globe road...500 wh may not be enough. I'm not even sure that my bike with 600wh would make it. If the LBS is going to rake you over the coals, just get...
