Pics Brooks B67 Saddle with light, Brooks Grips, Venzo Mirror and possible fork

@christob you’re right. Eddie got back to me and suggested the suspension fork. I prefer a post, so I will look for the post you suggested regarding cutting a small hole after my purchase. I should at least ride it without one for awhile, I may not really feel a need for one although many here...

Pics Brooks B67 Saddle with light, Brooks Grips, Venzo Mirror and possible fork

I love they inter grated the lights to the brooks saddle. I’m wondering if a thud buster could be added with the same saddle and lights?

Actually, ebikes will get you much LESS exercise

The post is inaccurate that you get less exercise from an ebike merely because there is less physical exertion. What you want to accomplish in terms of health depends on many factors. For example diet is an important independent factor in one's health. Exercise is another. With exercise...

Reasons I should Buy an ST1 Platinum Now Knowing a New Model Will Be Released in 2019

It's definitely enticing there are a lot of good deals on 2018 and under for ST1's and I've heard nothing but great things for this model. I am personally going to wait because I'm interested in the connectivity that will be added to the ST1, a better motor, and since it's their lowest model...

Help! Researching 1st ebike, need recommendations.

@p0ppyman, that's the approach I used too. I tried a mid drive with the Trek Super Commuter and then rear drive Cafe from Vintage Electric Bikes and a Stromer ST1. Based on how I intend to use it, urban riding in Los Angeles, I felt more comfortable with a rear drive. I'm waiting until the...

I'm considering buying a Stromer too and Lenny's seems to price them the best. I don't intend...

I'm considering buying a Stromer too and Lenny's seems to price them the best. I don't intend on getting one until December this year or January next year, but curious to know what kind of deal did you get from Lenny's, if you don't mind informing me. I would go for an ST1 since they are more...

    REI vs LBS

From the Yelp reviews of this LBS and Stromer retailer, seems like a lot of their Stromer customers purchased their bikes elsewhere but bring it to this LBS due to the excellent service particularly from a specific technician. I’d love to buy from them and hope they can at least match the best...

    REI vs LBS

My LBS is a Stromer retailer, but I don’t believe they can beat the prices I’m seeing online.

    REI vs LBS

I’m confused and new. Won’t a LBS work on your Stromer for repairs and maintenance, even though you bought it somewhere else? There’s a retailer near me where I test rode an ST1, but I plan on looking for the best new Stromer I can find (i.e., Crazy Lenny’s) and if the LBS can’t match, I still...

Stromer's St1 Platinum lack of after sale support and warranty

That's awesome @Ravi Kempaiah. I'm considering between a Cafe from Vintage Electric Bikes and a Stromer, and also determining whether to buy direct sale or online from someone like Lenny's. Hope to hear from @tenroz to see if the situation was remedied.

My VEB Cafe thread. (1st Year Recap: post #83)

@mstraxs I’ve been researching a lot about the Stromer since you’ve mentioned it, and it’s starting to look like a more realistic option over the Cafe. Of course I am referring to the ST1model, or the ST1X, if it drops in price by the end of the year. I’ll be trying all of them out, including...

My VEB Cafe thread. (1st Year Recap: post #83)

@mstraxs what's the difference between the Stromer ST2 and ST1? The ST1 is at a much better price range, even over a Cafe!

My VEB Cafe thread. (1st Year Recap: post #83)

@mstraxs the Stromer looks very cool, modern, and technologically advanced, but at that price I’d probably go with a VEB Tracker, Cruz, or Scrambler never pedal, just throttle at 36mph.

My VEB Cafe thread. (1st Year Recap: post #83)

I tried out the Cafe today. It was amazing, especially compared to the Super Commuter 8S. Last week I tried out the Trek, it was my day off and I really enjoyed it. I couldn't try out the Cafe at the same bike shop since they didn't have it and so had to go way out to the other side of town...

When the Cafe shipped to you, how did it come? Who assembled it?

Does it feel like a downshift on a transmission when driving a stick? What about when going down hill, or flat? Doesn’t turn off but coast? Yes, you’re right, the rack is an extra unlike the Trek.

The one thing I was concerned with is cogging. If not peddling, does the bike coast or does it dramatically slow down? In the video review, cogging is demonstrated but it’s while he’s lifting the bike. Wondering if it happens while riding.

My VEB Cafe thread. (1st Year Recap: post #83)

Hi Chris, thanks for responding. The Cafe actually has a rack, better than the one offered on the Trek. I also found a dealer in Oregon who has a gold Cafe for sale for $300 less than VEB is advertising, free shipping and no tax! VEB is trying to hard sell I wrote them back to see if they can...

My VEB Cafe thread. (1st Year Recap: post #83)

Hi all, I’m new to the forum and don’t even own an E-Bikes at the moment so looking for some great advice. I plan on getting an E-Bike and have narrowed my choice to 2 bikes obviously leaning on the Cafe that’s why I’m posting here. The other bike is the Trek Super-Commuter 8S. Both go 28mph...
