First Ride on Rip Current S

@SirJonathan no wind today, we got hit on Friday. Phone, internet and cable were out. Today was absolutely gorgeous. As for the ride, just getting use to the gear change on stops and noticing the throttle helps on the initial go, if I failed to gear down. I really like the stability of the...

First Ride on Rip Current S

Went on my first ride. Did 18 miles in an hour, past the Tournament of Roses in Pasadena where it begins, past the Rose Bowl, north to Altadena, then eastbound through Altadena until I was back in Pasadena where the parade ends and the floats sit there for a week for tourists viewing. What a...

    New CCX Pictures

It’s actually very comfortable and molds to your sit bones, while the springs eases the pot holes and works as suspension. “Never judge a book by its cover....Looks are deceiving.”

    New CCX Pictures

I put these on my RCS rather than a suspension post. I love the look and feel of Brooks: https://www.brooksengland.com/en_us/flyer-imperial-1.html

    Work in progress.

VeloFix prices are absolutely ridiculous. $229 for ebike assembly? Are they crazy?

I live in Los Angeles and I received a quote of $139.00 for assembly which included a follow up from Velofix. I chose not to use them and assembled it myself after watching instructional videos for my ebike and using this wonderful forum as my resource.

Thanks the the response. I was able to get it done, deflated tire and Allen wrench was the trick.

Rear rack tilting forward on RCS

In the meantime while waiting for a response regarding longer mounting stays, I essentially squeezed the stays together and fastened them from the inside which lengthened it slightly.

Rear rack tilting forward on RCS

I believe you’re right @SirJonathan, they need longer stays. I’ve tried every adjustment and I’m thinking of attaching a bracket to extend it, but the solution no doubt is longer mounting stays. I just emailed them about this.

Rear rack tilting forward on RCS

Any solutions? I straightened out the stays so that helps just a little. Seems it needs a longer stay.

New ebike for lighter trail riding

If you own a Juiced CCS and have looked at a Rad Rover and think its a beast, have you looked at the Juiced RipCurrent S? Otherwise, perhaps you should look at mountain ebikes.

New 2019 RipCurrent 52V ebike is out. Anyone has a review on it?

I believe the difference between the 2018 and 2019 models for the RCS is that the 2019 is modeled similar to the CCX in that it has a 25 amp peak motor controller (rather than a 20 amp peak), 2 additional PAS modes which are 0 (no assist but bike is on) and R (allows the motor to assist beyond...

    Took the CCX Plunge!

Congrats. I live in Los Angeles. If they ship today from Chula Vista, you'll get it the next day.

    1st long ride

Wow half the trip was using throttle at 20 mph on a 37 mile trip, that sounds like a pretty good battery.

    Service and delivery problems: Solved?

Yes I plan on riding with no fenders. Live in Los Angeles and it hardly rains here, even if it ever did I wouldn’t be riding it then anyways. I feel like such a little kid at Christmas.

    Service and delivery problems: Solved?

Yes! Finally got my RCS! Slight damage to the box resulting in a scratch on the fork and missing a rack, but after the 3rd shipment I’m just glad it’s the right size and color and works perfectly! Took an hour to put together only because I took my sweet time with it and I immediate took the...

    Service and delivery problems: Solved?

Just received a call back from Alejandra from Juiced. She advised due to UPS's mistake and their investigation taking normally 8 to 10 days, Juice would normally wait until the investigation is complete before shipping a new bike. However, because of the issues I've had they are shipping it...
