    Vado (Bado) with 27.5+ Wheels.

I'm glad I can help. I've been having so much ebike fun, I bought a Levo. My friends keep asking me about my e-bike (I'm a long time avid cyclist) so wrote up a blog post about my recent experiences. Is an E-Bike in your future? (https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/e-bike-your-future-lloyd-tabb/)

    Vado (Bado) with 27.5+ Wheels.

The wheels that come with the bike are really heavy. You can get a pair of carbon wheels that weight about 1500g. With 27.5" wheels, I was having problems with fat tires rubbing on the rear stays. I put smaller tires and ended up trading pedal strike with the narrower tires. I ultimately...

Charging: My other e-bike is a Tesla

I've had a Tesla for a number of years and they recommend charging to a max of 90% to maximize battery life. Repeatedly charging your battery to full can cut the lifespan and reduce the capacity of the battery. I have no idea what specialized has done to insure that their batteries last (maybe...

    Alternative Tyres for Vado 4.0

I replaced my wheels with some that are lighter and tubeless ready. I'm running Schwable G-One Speed 2.3's tubeless. The bike is noticeably faster off the line, absorbs shock much better. Not sure about the durability of the tires, but they sure are light.

    Vado 6.0 - replace headlamp w/brighter light ?

Yeah, I just keep a light in motion in my bag and point the light up during the day so it works well as a front light so people can see me coming. I wish it blinked.

    Turbo Vado 3.0 rack

I used some epoxy to fix mine. Seems to be holding ok. Maybe it is time to find a different rack.

    Round Plugs? Really?

I think the plug is a cool idea. I like that it is a magnetic connection and I can see how round would make it easier to make water tight. A simple marking on the plug would make it so I didn't need fumble around to twisting the plug. It is a 0 cost thing to do. With out markings, you might...

    Vado (Bado) with 27.5+ Wheels.

I have a lot of chances to take dirt paths instead of roads when riding. I was also frustrated by the weight of the wheels that come with the Vado 6.0. I swapped out the wheels for a pair of 27.5+ Ibis carbon wheels with 2.8" WTB Ranger tires (with sealant instead of tubes). I had these...

    Round Plugs? Really?

I love my bike, so please don't take this the wrong way. It seems really weird to me that to plug in to charge the my Specialized bike that the power plug is round going into a round hole. There is literally an infinite number of ways to get it wrong. I worked around the problem by putting...

Vado 6.0 Tail License plate light.

It turns out that the Specialized Vado has a license plate light that points down. Since I don't need a plate, all the light seems to do is illuminate the top of the fender which is gray. Since I'm kind of a 'be visible' freak, I added a strip of reflective tape the along the fender. You...
