Any problems with hanging my Turbo Vado upside down?

Thanks guys. I'll continue to hang it upside down for now. That keeps it off my garage floor and out of the way. I couldn't find any information on this topic in the manual or anywhere on the Specialized site.

Any problems with hanging my Turbo Vado upside down?

I don't see this question answered or asked anywhere. But are there any potential issues with hanging my Turbo Vado upside down? That is the easiest way store it in my garage. I was just wondering if there was anything in the motor system that might not like being stored upside down. Any...

2022 Turbo Vado: Panniers that will fit lower rear rail?

Nice! Is that a second headlight you have mounted on your handlebars there?

Brought a new Vado 5.0 home today!

Mine was in the black box. The sales guy made sure I took a photo of the key serial number and wrote it down in the owners manual in the event that it is lost to facilitate getting a replacement.

2022 Turbo Vado: Panniers that will fit lower rear rail?

I have an Ortlieb Backroller pannier mounted to the lower crossbar of my new Turbo Vado 5.0 as we speak. It attaches just fine. I only use one pannier for my work commuting setup. It is a top-load pannier with a big open cargo area where I stuff my work backpack with laptop inside to keep it...

Brought a new Vado 5.0 home today!

I haven't played with the adjustment yet. It is plenty stiff enough in the stock position. I'm probably going to swap out the seat for a well worn in Brooks that I have on my Mountain Bike.

Brought a new Vado 5.0 home today!

I use a mirror I have never found a bike-mounted mirror that I like or can use. I prefer helmet mounted and my favorite is actually the kind that clips onto your sunglasses. I don't know what brand it is.

    Charging question - don't overcharge?

I'm a new owner of a Turbo Vado 5.0 One thing that the bike shop clerk told me is that one gets the longest battery life if one keeps the charge between 20% and 80% or in other words, take it off the charger when you get to 80%. I found this advice surprising because so many battery powered...

Brought a new Vado 5.0 home today!

Finally had a chance to ride both the Vado and Vado SL side by side today and brought home a brand new white Turbo Vado 5.0. This exact model pictured below (from the Specialized Web site). I'll take my own photos later. After riding and seeing both in-person it was pretty obvious that the...

    Vado SL 5.0 -- It's Here!

There is an enormous business in after-market batteries for every conceivable application on amazon and other online sources where you can buy cheaper non-OEM batteries for laptops and other devices. I would imagine if e-bikes become common enough there will be aftermarket companies jumping...

Well I'm 58 and plan on keeping this bike for a LONG time.

    Vado SL 5.0 -- It's Here!

Especially since all my recreational riding with friends and family are with people who don't have e-bikes. For example, I'm planning to ride the Seattle to Portland double century this summer with my daughter. That will be on our analog bikes. And I do recreational riding with my wife and...

    Vado SL 5.0 -- It's Here!

Well, my local Specialized dealer has both the Vado 5.0 EQ and the Vado 5.0 SL EQ in stock now and I have an appointment for an extended test ride of both bikes before making up my mind. I'm honestly leaning towards the Vado 5.0 rather than the SL because if I am honest with myself what I am...

    Vado SL 5.0 -- It's Here!

I ran a little google map calculator and I have about a mile at 8-10% grade to get home every evening. I'm no longer all that athletic and it is enough to give me serious second thoughts about riding to work on my ordinary road bike. I don't mind pedaling, but on cold rainy nights I just want...

    Vado SL 5.0 -- It's Here!

Nice looking bike. I have a 2022 Vado 5.0 on order at my LBS with no notion of when it will come in but they have a couple of these. I might switch my deposit over and buy one of these instead. My only real hesitation is that I live on the top of a pretty steep hill (about 600 vertical feet...

Headlight upgrades for ebikes with stock headlights?

Wow, thanks guys. Lots to absorb here. Some of you guys have some serious "cockpits" going on there. It seems like the bottom line is to not mess with the stock wiring and headlights/taillights that come with these ebikes. But rather supplement them as necessary according to your needs with...

2022 Turbo Vado and Turbo Tero comparison: Same bike?

Do the cars and motorcycles zooming by me on my left on the same exact street as me have a 20 mph speed restriction built into their machines?

2022 Turbo Vado and Turbo Tero comparison: Same bike?

I can't actually find anything on the Specialized US web site that confirms the Tero is Class 1. They definitely say the Vado is Class 3. Well, they at least say it goes up to 28 mph. But nothing on the web site about the Tero. If it is Class 1 then that would be a deal killer for me as a...

2022 Turbo Vado and Turbo Tero comparison: Same bike?

Both the Tero and Vado 5.0 get OEM versions of this same air fork: https://www.sram.com/en/rockshox/models/fs-rcns-rl-d1 I’m not sure about the cheaper versions, they probably get different forks. The Tero 5.0 version comes with slightly longer 110 mm travel and the Vado 5.0 version has shorter...

2022 Turbo Vado and Turbo Tero comparison: Same bike?

N But you wouldn’t need to replace the fork. Both forks are the same 480 mm length. The difference is that the Vado has 80 mm of travel while the Tero has 110 and the Vado fork has fender mounts while the Tero fork does not. So the Vado fork is slightly more optimized for city use and the...
