Loose Motor on Como 2.0 UPDATE: Cracked Frame (Vados too)

Not sure how. It's in the specialized concept store, they seem helpful and attentive and dealing with HQ directly. I'm trying to be realistic, so if they don't have 4.0 I'll probably end up with 3.0 and sell it if I don't like it. Ideally would take money back...

Loose Motor on Como 2.0 UPDATE: Cracked Frame (Vados too)

Yes, this option was offered, but I'd end up with a Frankenstein that's neither stock 2019 nor 2021. I think I'd rather get a stock bike and if I don't like it I can always sell it and buy something else. Ideally at this point I'd like my money back...

Loose Motor on Como 2.0 UPDATE: Cracked Frame (Vados too)

And now, swiftly onto the bad news. Alegedly there are no more Vado 4.0 available, as all sold or otherwise allocated. Bummer. I'll may have to take that 3.0 they offered, sell it and buy something else. I'll try to get money instead of a replacement bike first tho. Sad face...

Loose Motor on Como 2.0 UPDATE: Cracked Frame (Vados too)

Thought so. I've emailed the shop and explained that they are offering inferior option and suggested that Vado 4.0 is a closer match to what I've had than the new 3.0. Fair play to the store as they agreed to raise this with Specialized and will get back to me. Wouldn't entertain the idea of...

Loose Motor on Como 2.0 UPDATE: Cracked Frame (Vados too)

Hello, Just a quick update and potentially a good one. Just had an email from the store, informing me that bike will be replaced for a new one- they are offering 2021 Vado 3- although due to stock shortages maybe a month wait or more/ less. So I started digging and please correct me if I'm...

Loose Motor on Como 2.0 UPDATE: Cracked Frame (Vados too)

Agreed, 20mph is just about right, 15.5 is plain annoying. Mine cuts out around 16.5mph and on flat I'll happily pedal up to 22mph, 26 top but it is annoying. Considering starting a petition to change the legislation.

Loose Motor on Como 2.0 UPDATE: Cracked Frame (Vados too)

6k km on 120 charges not bad at all, especially ona class 3 bike, if I remember correctly yours is homologated for road use in Poland and has no speed restrictions.

Loose Motor on Como 2.0 UPDATE: Cracked Frame (Vados too)

100% battery health after that distance is impressive if that is the oryginal/ only battery. Mine dropped to 90% after 290 cycles...

Loose Motor on Como 2.0 UPDATE: Cracked Frame (Vados too)

Ok, that's a valid point. Some ppl with fancy carbon frames managed to cause some damage by using their bikes for the purpose they were designed for- jumping, off roading and such. We are talking about special bikes for the top dollar, say £8k and beyond range. So one could argue they were...

Loose Motor on Como 2.0 UPDATE: Cracked Frame (Vados too)

Scott offers 5 years warranty for frame Vs lifetime from specialized, so kind of speaks for itself. Also, problems with frames are limited to handful of cases (AFAIK), so can't really gauge by that. Don't get me wrong, I do like Scott bikes and the only reason I went for special was because I...

Loose Motor on Como 2.0 UPDATE: Cracked Frame (Vados too)

Suspected that but not sure how they could possibly establish something like that. Unless someone messed up with software or added something hardwired to the motor/ controller. Not bothered, bike is stock configuration. Got an email from the store few hours ago, they started the process...

Loose Motor on Como 2.0 UPDATE: Cracked Frame (Vados too)

Hello. As promised, warranty claim update 1. As of yesterday, my faulty Vado is with Specialized main dealer. They have given me the estimated time to resolve this as 2 to 4 weeks, apparently there is a backlog, problems with parts and so on. Considering what's been going on for the last 12...

Loose Motor on Como 2.0 UPDATE: Cracked Frame (Vados too)

Agreed. Bolts should have washers to stop them from undoing. I personally feel there should be more than just three mounting points ( that's all I saw). Three is a magic number and so on but when it comes to attaching something that produces torque, even numbers are better...

Loose Motor on Como 2.0 UPDATE: Cracked Frame (Vados too)

Who knows. But I'd be leaning towards a manufacturing defect- they have sold quite few of those around the world, not many developed this fault and my understanding is that most affected customers have been taken care of by Specialized. At this moment I'm annoyed but since they agreed to inspect...

Loose Motor on Como 2.0 UPDATE: Cracked Frame (Vados too)

I suggested metal fatigue and design fault but Specialized decided not to comment. I don't blame them for that. With regards to predicability, i doubt it very much. I use this bike on road in and around London, I never stood on the pedals or pedaled whilst standing (no point where electric...

Loose Motor on Como 2.0 UPDATE: Cracked Frame (Vados too)

Dzięki Stefan. It's just this unnecessary aggravation, I do understand that Vado 3.0 is relatively "cheap" ebike, but then, it still was £2800, so well, debatable. Yes I think it was worth it, but yes, I also expected better. Hopefully they will sort this out quickly. I was sitting on a fence...

Loose Motor on Como 2.0 UPDATE: Cracked Frame (Vados too)

Thanks. Great to hear your case has been resolved. My main problem will be size- my Vado is XL (was really hard to find), I'm 6.4" and anything smaller is like riding something fit for a circus clown... I also have few replacement parts for my Vado (usual consumables) , recently changed tires...

Loose Motor on Como 2.0 UPDATE: Cracked Frame (Vados too)

Hello all, So I'm not alone in this. Last few days my Turbo Vado 3.0 (Made in Taiwan in March 2017, bought in the UK in 2019) begun to fell bit odd- checked the chain and replaced it as it was worn. Ride felt even stranger, so I ordered new cassette (not gonna bother replacing right now). This...
