Isn't a 28mph Bosch the drive we really want?

Interesting, I did not know that.

Biktrix conversion kit on a folding bike

If has a 3 piece front crank, kit should fit BB. 2) you won't be able to use that type of brake, the crank free wheels, IE turning the crank backwards does not move the chain. Should be no problem with battery there. maybe add one more bolt hole to frame.

    Stunner vs. Juggernaut

I own stunner, and I like it a lot, it does have QR wheels. I believe it would get more range than the fat tire bike, but don't know that for fact. I also believe that 2.3 inch wide tires are plenty for dirt riding. First I like to ask 1:15 commute, at what speed ? Never mind I checked your...

Isn't a 28mph Bosch the drive we really want?

With the ridiculously small front sprocket on Bosch I don't think you'd be able to pedal anyway near up to 28 MPH.

    Power assist factor?

@ George, and a little off topic It's amazing how fast wind resistance increases with speed, and how much power it takes to overcome it. I guess I fit right in with your average rider as I average 12-15 MPH on the level, between 100-200 watts. I don't (95% of the time) use my assist (or...

    batteries questions

Your English is good, your math is bad. "for an grand total of (approximately): 350$" "save 200" ...How ? You can buy the complete batt. from Luna for 399.00. that's 49.oo dollars the difference from your estimate, AND you didn't include shipping on the cells, Does the "skin" have a base ...

    batteries questions

Those batteries will probably do that range, BUT not if you expect it to do the entire distance "wide open", AND probably not if you don't pedal some. Side note question, you don't intend to do that distance daily ? Last, there is absolutely no freekin' way you can build your own battery, and...

    More battery and/or more power

What is the bikes top speed ? I ask because your low average of 14MPH in ass. level 1 seems high, and maybe using up power faster than expected. Have you checked you voltage at end of your 22 miles ? You said "barely gets me to work" so I'm thinking there may be more left than you think. Just...

    numbness in left hand

I experienced this as soon as the first mountain bikes came out. For me anyway it is the straight bar, and resulting hand position / angle that caused my hands to go numb. That's the kind of bar shown in your avitar ? I think a handle bar that has some curve, more like bikes of old will help...

Fender and Rack kit for Turbo

I hear what Kermit is saying, there seems no real brace from the rack to the seat stays as a normal rack would have. For that reason looks like it lacks some rigidity. ? Maybe not. I will say it all looks good, and wonder where you got it all. I needing fenders myself, have a couple of ideas...

    Are "bottle"-style batteries interchangeable?

The Battery doesn't look "quite" like the most I've seen, maybe it's just the color ? But 36V bottle batteries like you say are quite common, and "should be" inter-changeable. Notice I said "should be" as the bike seems very low priced, it may be a new animal. Advance research is free, and...

    Juggernaut V-max ?

I agree with Jolly, it's a sweet, and very clean looking ride. Glad you're going to keep existing models of Juggernaut as well. Torque sensing may be required for some, but a cadence sensor is all that others need, myself included as I can pedal as mush as I want or just pretend to. When a...

    Daymak Vermont Review

OK Ann you got me...stop pedaling to stop...check. It just seemed a bit odd to me as most bikes do have brake cut offs. On a side note I noticed this, say you're making a sharp U turn in the road, you turn the pedals, and you may not make your turn, so I will remember that, and either NOT pedal...

    Daymak Vermont Review

Great, I've been waiting for this one. Was considering this model in the 48V version, but at the time there was no review, so I didn't get it. Will edit, after I watch..... No brake cut off, maybe not so good, or safe thing. The somewhat local guy I believe told me 48v 20 ah, so good to...

Fenders for Evo 29er, a monster.

I agree fenders are a must, I don't like the "brown streak" either. That is a sweet / stelthy looking ride.

    Hub or Mid-Drive?

Power (HP=TORQUE X RPM) mince words all you want to be right. Watt for Watt which is just another word / measurement for power you can go the same speed, we're only aloud to go 20. 500 watts is 500 watts, so yes power is power, being able to change gears just makes a better , more efficient...

    Hub or Mid-Drive?

Jack, THANK YOU. And if you watched Court's video you saw how it got up to 20mph in about 5 seconds, just like advertised, and you noticed that court didn't have to do ANY shifting. Noticed one poster on this thread said a hub would get to speed quicker than a mid drive, while at the same time...

    Hub or Mid-Drive?

You may not have steep hills, but some days the wind might be blowing hard in your face...having some power in reserve is a good thing. I think the mid-drive will be more efficient over a wider speed range. You have to keep you speed up on hub motors on hills or you may over heat. Changing...

mid-drive free-wheeling cranks: need some undertanding...

i-zap sorry you got no reply. I assume "most" kits will have double clutches / freewheels. I just got a bafang BBS02 mid-drive, and this is how it works. 1) there is no (noticeable anyway) drag when you pedal it like an ordinary bike (without any motor help), there is a one way clutch (or...

THE NEXT BREAKTHROUGH IN EBIKES- SONDORS STYLE

Was wondering how you geared up your throttle, did you get like a splitter ? 2WD sounds cool.
