Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

Same here, registered bike with Specialized but don't see anything about required service to maintain warranty. Normally my LBS would do included minor tune-ups adjustments for free for the life of the bike. But with the click to collect model they do not. They didn't even put their bike...

Itching to upgrade my ‘20 Vado and Creo, trade or sell?

Looks like a good business. Interesting that they provide the bike weights - presumably based on the actual bikes. Noted a L and XL Levo for sale. The XL actually weighs less because it is delivered tubeless while the L is delivered with tubes. Not sure the value is there for buying as the...

New Vado 5.0 IGH in stock? My LBS's say go for it, they can't get 'em

Interesting. May be that Specialized Delivery is just spinning up the process. When I ordered my bike off the website a few weeks ago, there were no options for delivery in the South Bay. Today, there are at least a half dozen LBS within 20 miles tho SF Bay Area Flex is not one of them. If I...

New Vado 5.0 IGH, 1st ride, and my experience

It seems setup for wheel circumference is hit or miss. If your bike has 650B, 2.3 in wheels, the circumference should be closer to 87in. Good news if this is true is that you went farther than the Mastermind distance may have said. The bad news is that your assist will cut out at a lower...

How to disable fake channel in Mission Control?

When I connect my garmin 130 plus to Tero with the wired mastermind display, it shows 3 sensors associated with the bike - heart rate , power and speed/cadence. When I connect my garmin edge explore, it has an ebike sensor. This will show assist level ( just 1, 3, 5 corresponding to...

    Vado SL 5.0 -- It's Here!

If Trek is using an interchangeable battery assembly across all their e-bikes, should give them a major economic advantage over specialized's approach of different batteries for different lines as well as for newer models. If they achieve critical mass, perhaps 3rd party batteries become...

How to de-restrict a UK Vado

oops forgot the link: https://www.twowheelsempire.com/en-us/products/e-bike-e-mtb-tuning-kit-peartune-specialized-2-2-2021-2022-gen3 From the video, it looks relatively simple to do

    Vado SL 5.0 -- It's Here!

Kind of agree with this as well. Already the Vado has a new removable battery design. How long will replacement batteries for the older Vado's be available? I'm not confident that if I keep a bike for a long time that Specialized will continue to provide parts/support once a Model has been...

How to de-restrict a UK Vado

This website advertises Peartune for Specialized 2.0/2.1/2.2 motors, including Tero. If it works, seems like a good option particularly for the US Class 1 Levo/Tero- but should it also be good for the UK Vado's as well? Prob not needed for US 2022 Vado.

Itching to upgrade my ‘20 Vado and Creo, trade or sell?

Private party would be your best price. Particularly now that people looking for a possible bike commuter because of gas as well as upcoming good weather. bicyclebluebook.com will give a range of values for your bikes. They are in San Jose. There are a number of local shops which will give...

    Vado SL 5.0 -- It's Here!

I'd also go with the full Vado if the main use is car replacement. In a straight line, the full Vado's power will negate the weight disadvantage. Try to anticipate what conditions your commute and errand routes will have. Will there be any extremely tight turns or carrying up stairs needed...

Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

Since the bike may come with both the stem and handlebar mounts you can probably tell them how you want it when you order it. Agree with you that the stem mount with the cable routing looks much cleaner and I may swap mine in that way.

Anybody Ride a Specialized Turbo Tero Yet?

I've also noticed that the Mission Control setting on my Tero appears to be off. In my case, Mission Control reports 90.55 in wheel circumference - same as Stefan reported for his Vado (you have an older Vado not using 650B wheels?) . My Garmin auto detected the 29er 2.35 Ground Control tires...

An easy and expensive mistake: Vado Battery Related

Couple youtube videos I found interesting. First one shows what looks like the same model battery assembly as the OP being disassembly: This one shows some other specialized battery with some critical commentary :) : And this one shows a probably water damaged Kenevo pack that is also not...

Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

I have a couple of the stem/handlebar garmin mounts that I don't use. One was in the uninstalled extra parts from my 4.0 SL eq. Since I didnt know what it was I just used a regular garmin mount and I'm fine with that. The second came with my Tero. They did put the mtn bike mount on for the...

An easy and expensive mistake: Vado Battery Related

Exactly. At best it would have self-restoring protection for short circuit/overload conditions. At the least it should have serviceable replacement parts so the battery can be salvaged. One of the other users did disassemble the bricked battery and found the cells were still ok. Specialized...

Turbo CREO Comp SL - XS (Updated pics)

I suspect it would be almost an inch lower. Pretty common for many mfgs to equip their xs models with 650B. See bikecalc.com/wheel_size_math for 700c / 28 mm tire vs 650 B / 28mm tire diameters. One thing I would caution is not to rely on Specialized specs for standover sight unseen. Less...

An easy and expensive mistake: Vado Battery Related

It looks like the latest Vado/Tero/Como's use a slightly different layout, possibly to mitigate the chances of the pins being accessible. On my Tero it would take a conscious effort to rotate the door between the frame and the latch to stay open. Otherwise it just flips back and covers the...

    Vado SL 5.0 -- It's Here!

I have both the Levo SL and Vado SL. I used a bathroom scale to get approximate weights of each as well as a Tero I recently purchased. Vado SL EQ medium 39.6 lbs with range extender. Stock except replaced worn oem tires with 28 mm gatorskins which are prob a little lighter than stock. Levo...

    Trying Specialized Delivery

When I was ordering my Vado SL 4.0 EQ a couple years ago, the salesman invited me behind the counter to look at their ordering screen so I could see the difference in available colors. At the time, it showed what I assume to be the dealer cost. From what I remember it was about 2/3rds of the...
