Send us pics of your ebike... loaded with groceries!

Not groceries, but something to cook them over and for the grand kids to roast marshmellows at the camp site.

Are Slime Sealing tubes safe ?

I Slimed my rear tire right after I got the bike due to the aforementioned frustrating and hard to find slow leak. I haven't had to add air in over 300 miles since. I still plan on going tubeless when these wear out, unless I wear out before they do.

Biking is painful: e-biking is NOT

Wow, I guess I bought my ebike for all the wrong reasons. I haven't ridden a pedal bike in about sixty years and I certainly didn't buy it to get back into biking. I am 72 years old and have no chronic pain or debilitating injuries. I realize that can change almost overnight, but that is one...

    Ride Scoozy Veego Semi Fat

Ride Scoozy doesn't get much love on this forum. I have been very happy with my VeeGo 750. I took a leisurely sixteen mile ride on it this morning. The BMS showed two bars when I started and didn't drop to one bar until mile fifteen. I only live an hour and twenty minutes from the Ride...

Another twist to throttle vs PAS ebikes....Comments wanted...

I would never own a bike without a throttle and I would never own a bike without PAS. The throttle allows for infinitely variable speed control while PAS, not so much. I occasionally need to ride at 3-5 mph avoiding obstacles while making my own trail through the woods. PAS level 1 tries to...

    Limitations on Riding Uphill

It is my interpretation of your posts that you are more concerned about burning up your motor than the performance you are getting from your Rad. Your 4 mile hill with a 1400 ft. elevation gain has an AVERAGE grade of 6.6%. That is well below the 15% Rad sets as an upper threshold. Since you...

    car bike rack for radwagon

This is what I use and it works great for a single bike. Only weighs 34 pounds. https://www.discountramps.com/motorcycle-carrier/p/AMC-400/

    e-bike towbar carrier question

I asked the same question to Jason at Ride Scoozy when I bought my bike. I have a motorcycle rack that only weighs 34 pounds and has a carrying capacity of 400 pounds so the extra weight is not an issue. It is perfect for the fat tires. Jason said I should leave the battery on the bike in the...

Learning to ride an ebike: How ebiking skills are different from general cycling skills, and how they develop

Swing a leg over this. One of the reasons I wanted a step-thru. I just sit on the saddle with one toe on the ground, nudge the throttle and start pedaling.

Class 1 as best type of ebike for teens

I disagree. I think a throttle makes an e-bike safer for anyone. Especially in slow speed maneuvers on a crowded trail. Just put a computer on it that limits the throttle only speed to 5 mph. No teen is going to throttle along at 5 mph when PAS with little effort gets them to twenty. It...

    A First For Me.

As I was riding home from running a couple of errands on a segregated multi-use path that parallels a busy road, a red RAV4 turned on to a dead end road, stopped and completely blocked the path. The passenger door was ajar, but not wide enough to see who was inside. Needless to say, this...

    Any Suggestions ?

Hi Vincent, welcome aboard. I am 72 and my checklist was very similar to yours. I actually had a Rad Mini in the shopping cart, but never pulled the trigger because my additional research convinced me I needed/wanted a step through. I was able to test ride a VeeGo folding Fat Tire bike which...

    Looking for first bike

I have the VeeGo 750 and love it, but I don’t think it will work for you. I am 5’9” and with the seat all the way down, I could put my feet flat on the ground. Since I added a suspension post, I can only touch the ground with my toes. The VeeGo semi-fat may be a better fit for you, but I...

    Never too much torque

I can't have too much torque. 98% of my riding is on hard flat surfaces, but having extra torque and not needing it is way better than needing it and not having it. It is my understanding that speed and torque tend to be inversely proportional in ebikes. I really don't care about speed when I...

    I need y’alls help PLEASE

I agree that knobbies are knoisy, but they can do things and take me places other bikes can't and more importantly, get me back out. The cart in the picture weighs 58 pounds empty and probably has another 40 pounds of debris in it. I pulled it about 500 feet to the road up hill over grass and...

Ebikes are no longer a rare sight on my commute

120 miles mostly in SW Florida and have only seen ONE other ebike. Went on a sixteen mile ride a couple of days ago all on a multi use trail. I only saw about six other bikers. Two were spandexters that did not even acknowledge my nod and wave as we met. Most bikers here have gone back up...

Two RadMinis in SUV or on a Rack

I faced a similar dilemma when I bought my wife a folding 20" ebike. I had put a deposit down on a folding fat tire, not a RAD, but with similar dimensions. While the two bikes would easily fit in my small SUV (VW Touareg), I soon learned loading a folding ebike into an SUV was awkward and...

    Cheaper Suspension Post Recommendation

Yes, but only two sets of springs and they are both adjustable within each weight range. I am pleased with the SunTour but I have never ridden the Thudbuster or Bodyfloat. Price was not a factor in my choice of SunTour over the Thudbuster. I could have bought both for less than the price of...
