    Regen question

I have noticed that I have a very difficult time exceeding ~30 - 32 mph on my ST2S. I understand that assist will go away around 28 - 30 mph, but I can easily surpass 35 mph and push up into the upper 30s (and sometimes 40s if the grade is long enough) on steep downhill sections on my non-e road...

    Torque sensor question

I suspect you are right, @bluecat - and as @Johnny mentioned, the speed is measured from another sensor.

    Torque sensor question

Thanks @Johnny. It was about -3 or -4C when I left this morning, so still in range. I’ll double-check torque on the axle - thanks for the reminder. Speaking of speed sensors - I have noticed that mine differs from my GPS reading by at least 1 mph (1.6 kph) - Stromer reads high. @bluecat - I...

    Torque sensor question

I had an interesting issue this morning. It has been ~6 weeks since my last ST2S commute (I don't like riding when snow banks narrow the roads too much). This weekend I took the opportunity to install a longer stem with a -15* angle to get a more aggressive / aero position on the bike. Following...

    Stromer ST2s motor issue

@Tom85 congrats on fixing this. How difficult was the repair? Did you just solder-repair the wires with a little heat-shrink for waterproofing?

    Thoughts on best power meter

No go on Stages crank arm PM. No go on 4iiii. Maybe you are right on pedals being the best option.

    Thoughts on best power meter

Yes. As does Specialized. The data exists in the Stromer ”ecosystem”. I suspect it would simply be a matter of some engineering time to save the data as part of their existing output.

    Thoughts on best power meter

I haven’t seen the BB versions - I’ll investigate. I started looking at crank arm versions (like Stages) and got side-tracked by Quarq. I may go do another survey.

    Thoughts on best power meter

@Johnny this may be possible, but most of the clipless to flat adapters I have seen are Shimano SPD to flat. The Garmin Vector pedals are LOOK cleat compatible, and I think most of the other pedal-based power meters use some kind of “road” pedal cleat. This thread...

Trek Domane+ HP 7 vs Specialized Turbo Creo SL Carbon Comp

Over the summer Bosch rolled out an update to their Gen 4 motor and increased peak torque to 85 Nm. Bosch Performance Line

Trek Domane+ HP 7 vs Specialized Turbo Creo SL Carbon Comp

I started this thread knowing that the Creo SL and Domane+ HP are similar, though different. I had been exploring fast commuters, and I thought my observations could be helpful for some EBR members. They both mimic a traditional road bike, and they both have mid-drive motors. Frankly, the...

    AliExpress battery

This is not typically true unless the BMS is integrated with the charger. In most battery-powered applications the BMS performs monitoring, reporting and emergency management. "Regular" charging is typically managed by the charger, itself. While I don't know the specifics, I do know that the...

Mounting options of Supernova M99 Pro

That would be great, thanks @Ravi Kempaiah. Should I just reach out to you in a week or so?

Mounting options of Supernova M99 Pro

Found some options that would probably work with lots of different stems: Ritchey Universal Stem Mount This piece is kind of cool because it appears to allow adjustment of light pitch, but also has an ability to adjust to stem mount bolt spacing (8.4 to 28.1 mm). The primary downside is that...

Mounting options of Supernova M99 Pro

Hey everyone - it has been a good first few weeks with my ST2S. I logged two round-trip commutes and am definitely glad I went with this bike. I have used as much as 530 Wh for one-way, and I'm quite confident the mid-drive bikes I was looking at would not have enabled the speeds I've been...

    Stromer ST2s motor issue

Yikes! I'm sure you don't want to hear this, but it sounds like a authorized Stromer service visit is in order. If you do that, I'm sure the forum would love to know what they find.

    Stromer ST2s motor issue

Hey Tom - strange, indeed. Does it seem to have any load or rpm dependence?

    eDoping quantified!

I started a thread about measuring my own (e.g. human) power output while riding my Stromer here: Stromer power meter options Because I do have some Garmin Vector pedals on a bike that I'm not likely to use until the spring I swapped them over to the Stromer this morning for a test ride. My...

    Thoughts on best power meter

Yep, super-helpful post @Thomas Jaszewski. That was the first thing I did - and nowhere did I find information on power meter options for a Stromer. Now, if you had included your most recent post "I use a CA3 and shunt for best results. By taping into the power leads.", I would have had a bit...
