2017 RAD MINI Stem Slightly Loose at Folding Joint

I have a 2017 Rad Mini. The Stem has some slight movement coming from the actual stem fold joint. All the other Stem adjustments have been done and everything is tight. I took out the bolt/nut, which is stainless and shows no wear. I believe the housing that the bolt rides in is slightly...

Easy Freewheel (rear cassette) Change on my RadMini Under $50

Same with me, perfect fit and alignment with the DNP leaving the spacer out. And, it required no adjustment, actually shifts quicker and more positive with the DNP.

    Warning on chain cleaning

Agree, I have never worn a chain out in over 60 years of riding. I used to soak, clean, lubricate... Now, for 12 bucks, just pop a new one on every couple of years. Nothing wrong and not disagreeing on cleaning, I just found an alternative that works great for me.

    Warning on chain cleaning

No problem, some manufactures as noted by your LBS are just as you say.

    Warning on chain cleaning

I only use KMC chains, and this is from the KMC web site: Are the chains ready to be used right out of the box? Yes, all chains have been pre-greased at the factory and are ready to...

    Warning on chain cleaning

This is what I do: I go to Amazon, order a new chain for $12.97, 116 links is exact size. I don't bother with the mess any more. KMC Z8 Bicycle Chain (Silver, 1/2 x 3/32 - Inch, 116 Links)

RadCity Step-Thru - Pedal Assist not working

It looks like there is a 2017 and 2018 controller. The new one that was sent was a 2017 model, the bike is a 2018. They are overnighting the 2018 controller. The warehouse accidently picked the 2017 model. We were assured this controller will fix the issue. Rad's service has been great...

RadCity Step-Thru - Pedal Assist not working

The new magnet disk is very close to the sensor and a pressed on fit, deffenetly not slipping, and put on just like I took the old one off. Thanks for thinking and asking these questions. I wouldn't mind trying another sensor.

RadCity Step-Thru - Pedal Assist not working

Yes, coming up on the display and double checked connectors and pins. I'm wondering if the old controller burned out the new PAS sensor? I now have the new controller in and the new PAS sensor, but the new PAS sensor went in first and ony worked for a short while with the old controller.

RadCity Step-Thru - Pedal Assist not working

Yes, that part of the harness that goes to the PAS sensor is part of the controller. We will be communicating with RAD, just looking for any thing from forum members that we might have missed. Thanks

RadCity Step-Thru - Pedal Assist not working

My brother has a RadCity Step-thru, new this year with very low miles and just like new. The pedal assist has stopped working, the throttle still works. When it first started happening, shutting it down and back on would sometimes fix it for a short while, pulling the battery sometimes fixed it...

    Changing RadMini gear ratios

For sure it wouldn't need a different derailleur. I also doubt it would need more links, but, have a couple extra KMC MISSING LINK Bicycle Chain Links on hand. I bought a 6-Pack on Amazon for $7.69. I also bought a new KMC Z8 chain on Amazon for $12.97, 116 link, exact replacement. It shifts...

    Cushioned seat post options

I'm also using a BodyFloat with a Serfas seat, I like the combo after trying many seats. I know seats are very subjective.

    Changing RadMini gear ratios

I just finished the freewheel swap. Nice upgrade! I didn't even have to adjust the derailleur. It actually shifts quicker and more positive than before! The split tool would not work for me though. The freewheel was very very tight. I had to remove the freewheel by removing the inner ring, and...

    Changing RadMini gear ratios

I received my freewheel and tool yesterday, got out my dremel and cut the tool in half. I'll be installing it this morning, remembering to leave the original spacer off.
