Help finding balanced commuter / errand bike < ~$2k

due to balance issues, I needed a bike where my feet could rest flat on the ground when i'm at a standstill, and the cruiser/lowrider both are foot-forward designs and allow that. plus, the lowrider has a step through frame, which i also needed. as to having to tinker and fix, in the past i've...

Help finding balanced commuter / errand bike < ~$2k

well, i might as well throw in a recommendation for a magnum cruiser or lowrider. retail is 2250 but i dickered a bit and got mine for 2k delivered. front suspension. hydraulic brakes. rear rack, bottle bosses that i use for my foldylock, lighter than a lot of bikes at 58 lbs, fenders...

pretty good deal on bike carts ...

love to see a pic of your instant bike tow truck, sounds way cool. i nearly went w the schwinn but the utility, overall, of the cargo trailer idea won me over. plus, i've had one in the past and thought it was great.

New Magnum Cruiser running toooo slow ... I think.

I've had my Magnum Cruiser Lowrider for a week now and haven't gotten out on it much but when I have, it seems to be mighty slow, compared to the ebikes I owned in the distant past, including a Radwagon and a Pedego Interceptor. It can barely make it up some pretty tame hills. For all I know...

Ways to make my ride more cushy?

hmmmm. so is seat tube (419mm) the way to look at it and not seat-post length, which is given as 300mm?

Ways to make my ride more cushy?

thanks for that. now, my seatpost length is 300mm, whereas the NCX's is 350. do you just cut it down or ?????

Ways to make my ride more cushy?

So, my new magnum lowrider cruiser has a front suspension fork but it doesn't do all that much, prolly because at 170lbs i don't weigh that much, so i'd like to see what my other options are. the most obvious thing is a suspension seatpost but the one i can afford at this juncture, the satori...

any other foot-forward bikes besides magnum and townie?

got all excited about the aventon pace, but then two things gave me pause. one is that the foot-forward biz might not be enough forward for me. second: the way riders complain how it takes off from a stand-still up to 12mph after one turn of the pedal as some kind of safety feature -- well...

any other foot-forward bikes besides magnum and townie?

well .... as i believe you might know, in the deep dark past, i owned an e-joe, as well as a pedego, neither of which at the time had dealer support open to me. i survived. the only problem i ever had was w/ the brakes on the pedego and i figured it out. other than that, they ran flawlessly...

any other foot-forward bikes besides magnum and townie?

well, now, a late entry into the sweepstakes is one i can more or less afford right now: https://electricbikereview.com/biktrix/stunner-x/ gets a great review from our leader here and everyone speaks very highly of the company's owner. bike has everything the magnum does, i think, except...

any other foot-forward bikes besides magnum and townie?

i've kind of decided to save up some $ and spring for the magnum when i can. it comes stock w/ a lot of the features i want. right now, i just don't have the wherewithal to go the kit route, either done by myself or someone else. thanks, all, however, for all your thoughts and suggestions!

any other foot-forward bikes besides magnum and townie?

hmmm. hadn't thought about that. but i guess you're right. 20" in itself won't solve the problem for those such as me. glad i didn't make a blind internet-order buy. see pic below, taken from a youtube vid. tip-toes!

any other foot-forward bikes besides magnum and townie?

seems like it to me, too. yes, san diego has a lot of options, but my specific needs limit them by quite a bit.

any other foot-forward bikes besides magnum and townie?

i'm in san diego. cheapest BME converted smoothie, after taxes and shipping, comes to 1,764.19. and you've still got to fork over for various options, if you want em: rear rack and suspension being two biggies for me. think i'll see about the townie go. a quick look at the specs...
