    How much torque is enough?

Gen 3 engine is more than enough for what you describe. Even the plain Active Line Plus is enough if the gearing is correct. Check the thread named Kathmandu where on the last posts I have provided some insight about my new Touring Plus EXC 625 2021 where the Performance Line Cruise Gen3...

Just three photos from the last rides. Today even though its a public holiday here we got rain since last night. So no riding :(

My new bike: 2020 Cube Kathmandu Hybrid Pro 625

I did another 60km last weekend in two different rides on the mountains around my home. The bike is crazy good. Cant say enough about the quiet performance of the Performance Line Cruise motor. I can see indicated ECO ranges up to 240km when riding on almost flat terrain. The actual average on...

My new bike: 2020 Cube Kathmandu Hybrid Pro 625

I have done 2 test rides in the weekend. The first one was 25km and the second one 45km. Even though there are some changes needed to better fit my body and riding style I can say for sure that the bike feels amazing! The main change will be to lower and move further away the handlebar. This...

My new bike: 2020 Cube Kathmandu Hybrid Pro 625

No test ride before the weekend as I have my mother treated in a hospital. So the days are a big mess! The Cube looks great, like a tank! Huge bike, even for my 197cm of height!

My new bike: 2020 Cube Kathmandu Hybrid Pro 625

To provide an example, when I asked a very new and reputable shop about the HS 45km/h bikes they said it's OK we can sell them as the law does not discriminate them from the 25km/h ones (!). They issue no plates for them. They sell them fully equipped but its up to you to try to do the rest. One...

My new bike: 2020 Cube Kathmandu Hybrid Pro 625

I'm not challenging the existence of a number plate holder. I know they do have this. What I'm not sure about is the status of the State and the Ministry of Transportation to issue number plates for S-Pedelecs. I will read the link tomorrow to enlight myself (even though I just received my first...

My new bike: 2020 Cube Kathmandu Hybrid Pro 625

I will not challenge that in general as I have no experience. What I can say is that Greece almost certainly has no law to cover issuing number plates for S-Pedelecs. So practically one will be illegal riding an unlicensed vehicle on public roads. I cant imagine what will happen when a 30+ kg...

My new bike: 2020 Cube Kathmandu Hybrid Pro 625

I'm afraid this is more complicated than that as S-Pedelecs need registration, number plate, insurance, etc. Cant imagine they can approve specific shops and not others. In case of an accident I'm sure the opposite side lawyers will eat the S-Pedelec rider alive....

I have the Dimanche 29.3 and 29.5 and love them

Greece is much improved with the new Kosmoride shop in Athens. They carry Moustache and have a lot of demos.

Don't forget the very simple and elegant Cube 45km/h s-pedelec! https://www.cube.eu/en/2021/e-bikes/city-tour/on-road/kathmandu-hybrid/cube-kathmandu-hybrid-45-625-iridiumnred/

My new bike: 2020 Cube Kathmandu Hybrid Pro 625

Is there an official link to the Greek State about this 45km/h certification? As far as I know just a few EU countries are certified and all of them around Germany (Switzerland, Germany, Austria?). Even the latest "e-bike money-back" program that is running currently in Greece need the...

The plan is to pedal above 25km/h on straights and downhills and keep the motor off when possible. I know that pedaling a 25kgs bike will not be as easy as pedaling any of my current bio-bikes (ranging from 6.8 kgs up to 15kgs for my touring one).

Yes I live in a very hilly area up on a mountain. I found out that the Performance Line Cruise (Gen 3) is more than enough for me, even on ECO or Tour. My plan is to use the motor as a complimentary thing, not as a permanent full boost. As my main target is longer rides to increase my fitness...

My new bike: 2020 Cube Kathmandu Hybrid Pro 625

Yes, that's the bike I ordered. It comes with the 625 battery but there is a variant that is identical but with the 500 battery.

My new bike: 2020 Cube Kathmandu Hybrid Pro 625

I said punchier than the Active Line Plus which in ECO is very mild and soft starting. My initial target was to get a bike with the Active Line Plus motor but this year those are speced with very budget components. And I did not want to go down the constant upgrading road. Been there, done that...

I'm 44, so not young either! The Performance Line is better suited for road use compared to the CX. The design of the current CX is for pure hard MTB use and is optimized for that. Unfortunately marketing war has pushed many manufacturers and most models use the CX. You will miss nothing on...

They are a very big and respected shop that is a Cube dealer too. Nothing to be afraid of! I was in communication with them for a few weeks and they answered all questions promptly in excellent English too. This is not what you see with many German shops :)

We have one official importer too. That has no EXC 625 models on his preorder for 2021. So I ordered from Germany from a well respected shop. Just 20 euros of shipping with DHL Freight service (6 days from Ger to Greece)
