New High Torque IGH announced by 3x3

I now have over 800 miles on the hub with no issues. 3rd and 6th gears are not totally silent like the rest, but that has always been the case. I find myself turning off the power as the gearing is so low in first that I can power up hills on my own. I only power up to stay with traffic. IMO the...

New 9 Speed Internally Geared Hub with 554 Gear Range

The 3x3 Nine comes stock with a 32T rear sprocket, so I do not believe a 42T will put me past the 250 nm torque limit. You are correct, the first 3 gears are so low that only a mountain bike on a very steep trail might benefit from them and the last two gears put me faster than I am comfortable...

New High Torque IGH announced by 3x3

No owners manual is available that I can see. There is no maintenance, no oil changes, and VPL.Bike has all the necessary parts for a conversion. They will even do the wheel build at a cost. I have put it through the paces over 300 miles of riding, and it is operating superbly.

New High Torque IGH announced by 3x3

I did prefer the trigger shift, but am getting used to the rotary. Once the electric shift is available I will try it. The hub shifts easily with no load, but under a slight load gets sticky so shift detection would be of benefit.

Bafang Ultra + Rohloff combination - User feedback requested

I have not tried the Rohloff mainly because they report that it has a 150 nm limit on torque. for every motor other than a bafang it would be great. Rohloff is a proven IGH with a fantastic reputation and I would put it on any bike that does not put out more than 150 nm of torque.

New High Torque IGH announced by 3x3

This UCpro was purchased from Wattwagons which is now out of business. It had a Kindernay IGH which failed after 350 miles, then tried a Revolute hub which did not work, then shipped back to me from Wattwagon with a derailleur system. I have been closely following the progress of the 3x3 nine...

WattWagon Ultimate Commuter Pro (UCP) in depth review

No problems at all. I had a local bike shop do the wheel build. All parts were supplied by VPL.bike in Colorado. I did make the mistake of ordering the wrong brake adapater, but VPL sent the right one out right away. Everything lined up perfectly. It has a new 32T rear cog and a 42T front...

New 9 Speed Internally Geared Hub with 554 Gear Range

I have the 3x3 Nine with a gates belt and the Bafang Ultra. The IGH shifts smooth and at a stop. No maintenance is a plus even if it is greased instead of oiled. The first three gears will lift the front off the ground in the lowest power setting, and reach over 28mph in high gear at 60 cadence...

New High Torque IGH announced by 3x3

I have the 3x3 Nine on my Ebike, and I love it. The IGH shifts smooth, and at a stop. The 3x3 handles 250 nm of torque, and requires no maintenance. Add a Gates belt, and you have a drive train that finally handles the power of the Bafang Ultra. This is a game changer, and my dream bike has...

WattWagon Ultimate Commuter Pro (UCP) in depth review

I posted this elsewhere, My UC Pro now has the new 3x3 Nine IGH with a belt drive, and it is performing extremely well! The first three gears are so low that in power level one and a quick downstroke of the pedal, the front comes off the ground, and with a 42T front sprocket, it easily goes over...

Bafang Ultra + Rohloff combination - User feedback requested

I would not recommend a Rohloff with the bafang ultra, the IGH is not rated to handle the NM of torque. I have now installed the 3x3 Nine IGH which is rated at 250 NM torque which will handle the 165 NM of the Bafang Ultra. Remember you need to add the NM of torque of the motor to the NM you...

Kindernay observations and few questions for Pushkar

The Kindernay VII manual states 20 ml for the oil change: https://www.radkutsche.de/site/assets/files/5591/kindernay-vii-installation-manual.pdf

Kindernay observations and few questions for Pushkar

One issue not mentioned is the warrantee period. Once past the warrantee period, a person could speculate on what works, experiment, and report findings after real world experience. I bought 5

Kindernay observations and few questions for Pushkar

I just changed the oil on my Kindernay VII for the first time. The UC Pro had 200 miles on it, and was popping under high load. The oil was grey, thick, and greasy. There was a problem performing the oil change because the Gates Belt cog was interfering with removing the oil plug. I had to order...

Kindernay observations and few questions for Pushkar

My belt and Kindernay are on the UC Pro. Wattwagons is working on a belt tensioner for a future full suspension bike. The rear portion of the frame needs to split to allow assembly for a belt. I love how bikes are evolving, but wish it could happen much faster. The UC Pro is the perfect bike for...

Kindernay observations and few questions for Pushkar

One issue came up with the Kindernay/belt was lack of tools at the local bike shop for removing the rear wheel gear cog for the belt. I have ordered a Gates strap wrench at a cost of $70. I also ordered a 16 tooth 41mm socket to remove the lock ring. Removal of the gear was necessary for...

Kindernay observations and few questions for Pushkar

Have you tried to order directly through Kindernay? I just received 5 oil change kits from them, shipping was $85 from Norway though. Imo, the Kindernay VII is the finest gearing for Ebikes, and will be in short supply as demand for it goes through the roof.

WattWagon Ultimate Commuter Pro (UCP) in depth review

Frames are in high demand with a limited supply, glad to hear you could obtain one. The large frame is a bit of a stretch with my 30 inch inseam, but it works for me. I am so happy to be commuting on a bike like this. The Magura 7mt brakes stop so fast that if i crank on them, the rear tire...

WattWagon Ultimate Commuter Pro (UCP) in depth review

Received my UC Pro this week with the Kindernay VII, gates belt, Magura MT-7 brakes, and Super Nova lights. Commuting is now a breeze, Kindernay is fantastic being able to shift down 3 gears at a time with only 7 gears. Gear 7 in eco mode put me at 37 mph with a moderate cadence. Sport mode...

    Founder refunds still unaccounted for

With all the frames and controllers Wattwagons received recently, he is probably busy finishing up orders like mine. I am looking forward to my new UC Pro, coming soon I hope.
