General consensus is a bike helmet's life, barring any accident, is only three years afterwhich the foam core begins to deteriorate. There should be a manufacture date in each of them as to when the helmet is made. Seems short but it may make a difference if involved in an accident.

Felt's another American born and based company, but if you look at the sum of the parts, their bikes, like most other company's products, are really international conglomerations. Ponder the prices now, if every component on an e-bike was USA made, realize how much more the prices would escalate.

Chris, Kurt, after the mayor finally came to his senses, and made the decision yesterday "not to target peddle assist E-bikes in the city", maybe the "rules" for the tour will change next year. I think I'll call again to see what they have to say.

All well and good, but make sure the manufacturer of the bike you choose allows mail order bikes to be warranted. Some firms may not cover them. I've read that Felt and Raleigh mail orders, to name a couple, are not covered. Double check to be sure. elliot
