I just installed one of these two. Should be standard equipment imo. However, it also seems to make the Rover look less stealthy. (If that was ever a thing anyways)

Almost all batteries are welded with nickle strip conductors, and not able to come apart to individual cells. In fact, I would guess ALL are built that way. No other way to get a perfect connection every time. Furthermore, they are usually sealed up in a heat shrink brick. Again, the answer...

I did not see a fat bike rim on the dillenger link? If you are a motorcycle guy by nature, I would think you would want a luna or similar mid drive kit, bbshd. I've not installed one, and am an experienced mechanic, but it sure does not look difficult *provided* you get the specialized tools...

Is it a cassette or a freewheel? I was under the impression it was a freewheel. Would the cassette tool be a help?

The light runs at battery voltage. I agree, the controller is likely no good. But I am stuck with it as it works fine with the OEM light. I'm sure they are not top brass emmiters. It is almost free. I read about it here...

Since 160 watthour batteries would not work out well on a bike, it pretty much means it is not really an option.
