    Charging question - don't overcharge?

The data shows it extends the # of cycles by a factor of 300% or more by bringing it to 80%. versus 100%.

    Charging question - don't overcharge?

OK, so let me try to understand this. Don't charge the battery at 100% or it shortens the # of cycles by 300%. f*ck. Why don't they have an option on the charger for what % to reach? Maybe other e bike riders sit there and wait until it hits 80% and turn it off. By the time I get around to...

I just use the default tension that the bike came with. That shouldn't need to be adjusted.

    Thudbuster vs Kinekt seat posts

Sounds like the Gen 4 clamp mechanism has some issues. I had to return a thudbuster LT gen 4 already because the clamp mechanism was shot. I used it for about 50 miles and had to replace it. I would hear an awful sound sometimes when I'd hit it the wrong way. After a while it just failed...

It doesn't happen all the time. It's obvious that the motor performs much better with PA. Try using more throttle on your next rides and let me know if you get any vibrations when first switching from PA to throttle and accelerating.

I added a handlebar extension to the atlas to make it taller. Wow. That makes a huge difference in riding comfort. Highly recommended for anyone with issues with positioning on the atlas.

What's the best saddle for long rides?

What I've found is that when I drop the seat all the way down, it's more comfortable for me. I tend to ride upright like Merry Poppins, not leaning over. I may return the thudbuster because it puts me too high to accomplish any comfort due to the 4 inches or so of suspension zone. Is there...

    Bike Lock

And what hysteria? If you're for or have no opinion about patrilineal inheritance that's fine. Ignore the issue. There's no issue to ignore. This discussion is about the quality of a bike lock. Not hypothetical social justice tangential thoughts.

We have no way of knowing the inner decisions within their company, and this is not the place to speculate out of some misplaced social justice hysteria.

What's the best saddle for long rides?

I have a Cloud 9 and a Thudbuster LT seatpost and it's literally painful to peddle. When I got rid of the cloud 9 and got rid of the lt seatpost and dropped it way down, at least I could peddle. But my leg's dont extend. So I think the Cloud 9 might be the problem, because literally every...

If its between an automatic shifter that relies on an app, and is computer controlled. Or a manual shifter thats easy to replace with cables, I'll go with the manual one every time. I like the fact that its a physical adjust, and not an electronic adjust. Why? Less can go wrong, and I'm more...

The twist shifter is actually a pretty simple device on the atlas, it's not electronic or anything - just a typical cable shifter with a pretty diagram. I feel very confident that if someone was familiar with shifters on e-bikes that it'd be possible to swap it out for a different shifter. Or...

I've often found that I think I'm in the highest gear, but actually when I twist shift up, there's one more higher gear that's not obvious on the biker with the hill diagram.

If you're at a dead stop, and shift to the upper hill thing, and hit the peddle the bike takes right off. The responsiveness to the peddle assist is in my opinion the best part of the bike and it works incredibly well. I've been on a 20% steep slope non-paved surface at a dead stop, shift up...

Also, regarding the CVT, it takes a pretty healthy grip to twist that shifter (something I notice anyway). I'm not sure about a healthy grip as much as it just tends to not twist under circumstances. Definitely do not force it whatever one does. I'd definitely not want to have to take the...

the atlas is designed to be used with the dual battery, not the rear rack w/o the battery. Sure one can just use a back rack, but that defeats the purpose of having the integrated dual battery hookup in the frame. There's an electronic port cable already pre-installed right into the frame for...

Do you pedal or just ride full throttle? Now Closed

I agree, there should be a setting where there's a way to easily keep the bike at maximum speed while peddling. Like, if I reduce peddle assist to 2 or 3, I get good resistance, but then I'm down to 23-25mph. That can be changed to be 28mph at PA2 or 3. But I don't know the technical way to...

Do you pedal or just ride full throttle? Now Closed

The whole point of an E bike is to peddle. IF someone just wants to throttle the whole way there's lots of electric dirt bikes that can be purchased for a similar price.

What sort of lock were you using that it got stolen like that?
