    most durable bike for a 210 pound man?

    Hi @daniel2ride - I have about 1,100 miles on the RadWagon so far. Maintenance issues: Three flats, then I switched to Schwalbe Marathon Plus tires. No flats since then. The Marathons are less knobby, so they roll more smoothly and are more quiet. The spokes loosen about every 300 miles and...

    Radwagon rear spoke tension adjustment

    I might end up taking it to the LBS when necessary - not sure how DIY I want to get with this . Plus, my garage is full! :)

    most durable bike for a 210 pound man?

    I own a RadWagon by RadPower bikes. They currently sell 3 different ebikes, and at least two of those are gearless hub motors. Court is good about mentioning what kind of motor it is in each of the reviews he does. You can tell by looking at the pictures which are hub motors vs. mid-drives, so...

    most durable bike for a 210 pound man?

    My vote would be for gearless hub motors. They're just magnets, basically. Nearly bulletproof.

    Radwagon rear spoke tension adjustment

    I've had trouble with loose spokes on my RadWagon as well. Had to have them tightened twice in the first 1,000 miles, and the rear wheel re-trued once. I had the bright idea of getting a spoke wrench to prevent some trips to the shop, but I snapped a spoke. I'm now the proud owner of a box of...

    ebike designed for no pedaling

    If George S and dustman went the same speed, I wager they'd see the same watt hours per mile. Higher speed consumes more watt hours exponentially due to wind resistance.

    What do you all think of the 2016 IZIP models? Anyone going to upgrade?

    I recently picked up a 2015 Dash at a great price. Do you think a generic dolphin or shark pack from Luna Cycles could be adapted to work on the Dash? They have some great 48w and 52w options with high density cells. It would be nice not to be locked in to iZip's battery.

    No LBS & I wanted the ‘right' bike. Here’s what I did…

    @Ann M. - when you refer to 'our shop', what shop is that?

    Batteries?

    In case you're not already aware, http://lunacycle.com/ has great batteries. I'm not sure if they have what you're looking for at the right price, but the quality is beyond reproach. Grin Technologies is another source, and there's a 3rd very good one I'm not remembering off the top of my head...

    RadWagon bumper bike rack suggestions;

    Ha, not yet! Unfortunately it might be awhile, as I cracked my seat tube recently and am waiting on a warranty repair. :(

    RadWagon bumper bike rack suggestions;

    Yes, we have to put the back seat down and take the front wheel off, and it's heavy and unwieldy, but we can get it in and get the back hatch shut.

    Thoughts on joining local bike club organized rides

    I'm hoping with a family-friendly ride of 1,000 bikers, they'll be receptive and/or not concerned. Unfortunately I may have a conflict now and not sure I'll be able to go, but there will be others... Will keep you posted.

    I just bought a 2015 iZip E3 Dash for $1,200!

    Had to share it with someone, and I knew folks here would appreciate it. 152 miles on the OD, no scrapes or scratches, with upgrades: Topeak rack, full fenders, Continental kevlar tires with no visible tread wear, rear light. My wife rode it home and didn't want to get off it

    RadWagon bumper bike rack suggestions;

    I would think as long as you don't exceed 132lbs total you'd be ok. That said, have you tried getting the RW in your car with the front wheel off? We get mine inside our Prius that way.

    Thoughts on joining local bike club organized rides

    Thanks JR, great advice. I have a cargo ebike, and would only consider recreational rides, never a paced one, unless it were very slow. I imagine the faster groups would be more critical of an ebike keeping pace with them. The ride coming up is a family-friendly ride with up to 1,000 riders...

    Thoughts on joining local bike club organized rides

    We have a large, active bike club in my city, and they organize quite a few great rides. What are your thoughts about being a part of something like that on an ebike? Do you think they'd be accepting? Hostile? Some of both? Would you join an organized ride in your city? Have you?
