Cell battery technology set to jump again-driven by another industry

I love my white dutch clover and dandelions, not too hot on the wild onions, the bluegrass and fescue make an interesting lawn, the caveat is this if gas gets much more expensive I will skip mowing the bulk part till next year.It will get clumpy, though it will still be mowable next spring( I...

Kickstand jack or handlebar jack or handlebar extensions?

Believe it or not, Lowes lists one with the better specs on its website, the only trouble is I really do not like Lowes for the way they have treated Me in the past,I think that bike stand was rated for 66#, not hard to exceed that with an e-bike. In the end though"Money talks and BS walks" One...

Cell battery technology set to jump again-driven by another industry

Try three acres, if gas goes to around $6 a gal I will let the major yard go( been wanting to for years-if it wasn't for my fruit trees and grapevines I would fence it and ask someone to graze it and keep a grass burner in there, a Horse would be good because they can rapidly degrade a small...

Cell battery technology set to jump again-driven by another industry

All I have besides my EBike are 18 volt Ryobi tools and I plan on some more its no problem to get overrated replacement batteries that work pretty well,I would never swap my noisy stinkin gas guzzler Stihl chainsaw for electric, the electric for this use is not made yet and I would not be able...

Cell battery technology set to jump again-driven by another industry

My problem is this(not an issue if you had a powerwall) I would never try to run a total house generator, my generator just runs a radio, lights and refrigerator. There are many on the market big enough to do that job If you had a powerwall that would not be an issue and these things Milwaukee...

Kickstand jack or handlebar jack or handlebar extensions?

I think I may just get a real bike work stand someday if I keep messing with these things.( who makes the cheapest one thats worth a hoot?)

Cell battery technology set to jump again-driven by another industry

They already exist-Power banks, just like gas you have to refuel, plus you do not have to worry about monoxide,I suppose you are talking about regional blackouts. There are solar-powered deep well pumps that do a fine job. There was one thing that was always on my mind, a micro pumped storage the...

Kickstand jack or handlebar jack or handlebar extensions?

I got the set Kyle Chittuck vends, they have been pretty useless.Would probably work pretty good on a stock or near stock bike with MTB handlebars, not so much on the cruisers I mess with, the main reason is the handle bars profile.

CLICKING SOUND FROM MOTOR - WHEN PEDALLING AND COASTING

Are all the cable ends clearing rotating parts? Can make a very annoying click.

    Best E-bike drivetrain?

I am still watching you and learning-KUTGW! And have come to love the water bottle battery.

    Best E-bike drivetrain?

Strangely enough, I just acquired a bike with cast wheels and I actually like it as for rolling resistance, this new bike with 2.1" tires will hit the bottom of a steep hill I ride over about 10 mph faster indicated, the last fat tire bike I bought was pure junk.I think I am going to try to...

    Best E-bike drivetrain?

How about a Gates drive with a 3 spd IGH, apparently you do not need all those gears, seems to Me like if you use 2Hp climbing hills it would be better to get a lower gear, those gears are having a lot of force put on them close to stall( do your spokes ever loosen?) Just a thought( I like the...

Is an oval chainring a no-no on an ebike?

Hard to reinvent the wheel. It's rather interesting to see how old tech can hang on( I give you hydraulic rim brakes) for instance.

    "forged" cranks, what a crock?

Right on there are Aluminum alloys that rival a lot of steel alloys in tensile strength,I believe "Duraluminum" has a tensile strength of 70,000 PSI, not bad for something that light

    "forged" cranks, what a crock?

Casting is not all bad if done correctly, especially if "forging" is torturing something into place, a pressure casting machine makes a very good product( ask Mr.Musk about that) OTH I have had some early import castings that were porous and pure junk!" Caterpillars "cast steel parts are second...

A little advice and recommendations please

I will have to settle for a front basket or bag though, on the subject of carrying things on a hardtail the best panniers I ever had were the ones the folks at "Lectric" sold.

    Coaly Rollers

I know you are being facetious, however, some ideas are needed these days about this subject, I do not trust myself to carry( now, on the other hand, the steel cobra or shillelagh is very tempting-a wise man once told me" Never use anything for defense that could be taken from you and used on you")

A little advice and recommendations please

No its the weird looking one( full suspension sort of SO5-01 my fat tire mtb threw me yesterday right on my painful as heck left shoulder ,the main reason I went t with this was the price and the 2.5" tires, the integrated taillight is nice, really haven't had time to ride much this year, I...
