    Can't say for sure, but I think that cable in the last pic is going to the battery, which appears to be mounted to the upper frame tube. It also looks like there is a pedal assist cadence sensor mounted on the bike with a wire going to that also.

    As I understand it, the ShareRoller can be used with the battery attached to the motor piece, or with the battery mounted separately.

    And even the standard model is only 6 pounds. That is ridiculously light for battery, motor, controls, etc. This will make it easy to add electric power to a bike without a huge weight penalty.
