Fixing up 2004 Electric Bike - Charger!

I just completed 25 miles on highest power assist level, not one problem. Climbed over 1000 feet, did the monster hill without breaking a sweat and climbed 2 other good hills that normally wind me but no problem. Only issue is that the 4 led lights used to tell me how much battery I have left...

Fixing up 2004 Electric Bike - Charger!

Thanks for the info, turns out the schwinn turns i had bought were just as nubby as my current tires. I ordered tires that are better suited for the roads to try out. I just got the new battery today and my friend helped me install it. After a few rough starts with the sensor not picking up...

    Upgrading Rideal Lights

Hello all, i am waiting for my Rideal and i noticed that the front light seemed pretty weak and was wondering if something like that could be easily replaced. Main reason is i would want a day time running light that atleast had a blink pattern. Rear lights seem to be good enough with extra...

    Seatpost Sizing - Can i put a 27.2mm Post into a 28.6mm Tube?

I found a suspension seatpost for my bike that i wanted to order but it doesn't come in the size i need, which is 28.6mm and i can't really find too many options in my price range ( under $100 or about that). I read on a website that you can use a 27.2mm into a 28.6mm tube, is this true? They...

Fixing up 2004 Electric Bike - Charger!

I decided to go with Ariel Rideal bike for my daily commuter and future backup bike. The charger will be designated as the backup commuter and main "have fun" and go to store bike. I will be putting a front rack on it and maybe another milk crate, i forgot i have about 6 of them lol. I am...

    UPDATE: GOT IT! $2kish & 36" inseam, 16mile Commute - DECIDED: RIDEAL! -

Probably, but we will see. It's going to be interesting testing out a 750w hub motor vs my old ebike with 350w mid drive with "speed" sensor (not sure if it is cadence or torque, but it's super responsive and i feel like a weakling can power the bike). I am still waiting on the battery to be...

Here’s the video of the handlebars, seat, and grips being installed on the Rideal

Hey randy i love your videos on the bike, please keep them up! i just purchased one for myself. How do you like those 5" raiser bars and are you going to be trying suspension fork? I saw on youtube you mentioned you might be doing that.

    UPDATE: GOT IT! $2kish & 36" inseam, 16mile Commute - DECIDED: RIDEAL! -

i decided to purchase the Ariel Rideal, mid-step, black. Price was too good, and i loved Rusty Roads videos and they convinced me. I was about to also not go with them because i read the review in the Ariel forum about the customer complaining and having to dispute a charge but besides that i...

    UPDATE: GOT IT! $2kish & 36" inseam, 16mile Commute - DECIDED: RIDEAL! -

Thanks! I also found this site through this website, someone said Bolton made this to sell ebikes. Only 1 ebike that was situated within 150 miles to me, so maybe what i should do is buy a cheaper ebike now and just play it slow and get a really good used one or just wait till i can really...

    UPDATE: GOT IT! $2kish & 36" inseam, 16mile Commute - DECIDED: RIDEAL! -

Man that one looks good too, lol. I am still leaning towards the Rideal just because of the price tag. I have until tomorrow before i can make the easier purchase on the Rideal, it would be shipped most likely early next week. I will make a list today and really consider my options. If i...

Reno 911 - Compiliation of Lt. Dangle Bike Stolen Scenes

I was watching this and thought i would share it with my fellow biker buddies! From a tv show called Reno 911 that mocked the police -cops shows. Running gag was the lieutenant getting his bike stolen constantly .

    UPDATE: GOT IT! $2kish & 36" inseam, 16mile Commute - DECIDED: RIDEAL! -

Wow i like it. You mention you have the Ride1up 500, how would you compare the 2? I really like that the Espin has Samsung battery and the fork sus. Do you have the ST 500?? They seem like similar bikes and i was looking at that and liked the look of it. Which of the 2 would you prefer for...

    UPDATE: GOT IT! $2kish & 36" inseam, 16mile Commute - DECIDED: RIDEAL! -

500 series is the closest bike that i would consider getting, just for the suspension fork but it's probably not worth spending $200 more for a lesser powerful motor and battery setup. Thanks for the idea though, that was for sure the first one i looked at and liked.

    Rideal Mid-Step vs High-Step - Tall Rider & Stepping over - 36" inseam

Thanks guys. Sounds like i would do the mid-step. the 33" over step is way too high for me, amazing how much 4" can make. I don't mind having to do some upgrades to the seatpost, especially if i can just get away with a seatpost with suspension. I plan on upgrading the bars to a dutch like...

    UPDATE: GOT IT! $2kish & 36" inseam, 16mile Commute - DECIDED: RIDEAL! -

I forgot about the 500, that is one of the first one I looked at. Thanks, will look at these and decide. Still loving the ideal of the rideal let's see. The under 1k price is pretty amazing and fits perfectly on my new credit card that has a 1200 limit, which if I hit $3k spending I get $500...

    Rideal Mid-Step vs High-Step - Tall Rider & Stepping over - 36" inseam

Hey all i am pretty sure i am going to get the Rideal, just trying to decide on mid-step or high-step. I have a current very old ebike that has a similar design as the mid-step, it has a 29" step over height and i think that is just high enough for me to get my foot over the bar without my...
