Fixing up 2004 Electric Bike - Charger!

wow okay, so will this effect my speed or climbing ability? I live in a VERY hilly area and have to tackle one giant hill to get to the store that i want to use the bike, if that helps. as of now i have to use the lowest gear and go about 5mph up the hill which is pretty brutal.

    My shopping basket

I have been using an oversized milk crate, zip tied to the rear rack on my commuter bike for about 2 months now, i ride 20 miles a day. I absolutely love the large milk crate over the standard milk crate. It weighs 4 lbs, a little heavy but it's super sturdy and i'm on an electric bike and...

Fixing up 2004 Electric Bike - Charger!

Here is a video of a nexus 8, mine is a nexus 7. Seems similar. I haven't watched the whole video yet but it might be do able to take it apart and clean it. I am not really seeing any videos on youtube detailing the steps though. I found one other video that i will link that seems not too bad.

Fixing up 2004 Electric Bike - Charger!

The soaking in the oil seems reasonable but repacking with grease seems like quite the tough job, to have to dissemble and reassemble the whole hub. Do you really think that would help with speeding up the bike verses replacing the chains? I would think that the hub doesn't have anything to do...

    Dash cams for bikes

Just an update, i've been using the DV988 for awhile now and i love it. Very wide angle and really helps see when cars are about to pass. I have hooked up a turn signal on the mount that holds the monitor and that allows the turn signal to be pretty high and lets me see if its actually working...

Ski Goggle Lens tint for cold weather/ direct sun or helmet with better sun shade?

so today i used the photochromic lens after pulling over because i was being blinded using my regular ski goggles. I put on the photochromic lens and started to shield my eyes due to reflex, but after a few minutes i realized i could actually just look normally and not block the sun while i was...

remove bike grease stains off clothes

Hey all, i made a boo boo and dropped my most used rain jacket and it rubbed against the chain, leaving a bit of black mess on the front of the jacket that was instantly stained ofcourse. Anyone have a solution to use to get it out?

Fixing up 2004 Electric Bike - Charger!

So the bike now has 1500 miles and it's pretty slow. I don't really use it but I feel a lot of resistance or something. I wonder if replacing the chains on the pedal and motor chain would help it out. It has a weird 2 chain setup, with the motor being middrive with a chain connected to back...

    Turn signals

I ordered 2 of the best selling wireless ones on Amazon for 15 each, so small investment and I have a rear view monitor so I can see the lights blinking off the road and will know if they are working or not. Will use them until I figure out a wired solution. I basically just want to flip a...

    Turn signals

I am looking at a wired connection for my turn signals. I am looking at the amazon options for the wireless ones and most just seem cheap and unreliable and i ride about 10 miles on the road everyday and would love turn signals as close to a motorcycle as possible. I have a 30,000mAh battery...

Ski Goggle Lens tint for cold weather/ direct sun or helmet with better sun shade?

Hey all i tested out the new ski goggles today and they were pretty good. My glasses barely fit in them and caused a little pain but after adjusting that went away. I used the blue lenses first, they came with the goggles and i wanted to test them out to see if it were comfortable and they...

Ski Goggle Lens tint for cold weather/ direct sun or helmet with better sun shade?

I also bought the salamander beak to extend the visor. Thanks for the suggestions everyone i will give an update once i use it all. The most immediate solution i have found is just leaving to go to work early before the sun rises. Only problem with that is that i can't really see well on the...

Ski Goggle Lens tint for cold weather/ direct sun or helmet with better sun shade?

i went with the following mask with swappable lens because the mask itself had a 5 star review average and it was on sale 20$ off. Also they had photochromatic lens so i purchased that. I am wondering if buying the helmet that goes with the mask would be a good idea since it's made to pair...

Ski Goggle Lens tint for cold weather/ direct sun or helmet with better sun shade?

The ones I bought are the best rated ones on Amazon but they are fixed lens that cannot be removed. I am looking at the pro version that has swappable lenses for different riding conditions and styles. Some have certain tints and most go by a vlt % which I don't understand besides lower number...

Spring Seats vs. Suspension Posts - What's the Better Choice?

I have 2 electric bikes, both use the same spring large cushioned seat but my commuter bike has suspension post and it's night and day with the comfort. I use the suntour pictured and coming off a walking path to road, or any bumps on the road, you feel it so much on your butt and spine without...
