Moving Throttle to left hand - any reason not to?

Thanks, i tried it out last night briefly and it felt okay, and this morning i went out for a bit and felt good. I was lucky and switching it over was easy. I think i have arthritis in my left hand as well, or both, as i get cyclers palsy with straight bars. I just switched the new bike...

Moving Throttle to left hand - any reason not to?

Hello all, i just got my first ebike with a throttle (Arial Rider Rideal) and it is located on the right hand side, where the push button shifter is. That leaves the right hand to shift, throttle and brake, leaving left hand to brake and ring the bell along with control pedal assist level. I...

    Ebikes and Ebirds

I used to feed the birds bit where I currently live there is a huge group of starling that are a nightmare to deal with that are even worse than squirrels to try to defend against, the whole group will just camp my feeder until it's empty and defend it from other birds. You can try putting up...

Ebike newb, Tall w/ chronic back problems & ancient ebike repair!

I am going to go with these following bars for the Rideal. Does anyone know how i would go about rising the bars? I can't figure out how to get the bars higher with this type of stem, seems like when i loosen the 4 bolts and take off the handlebar, i can't lift up the stem to make it higher...

Ebike newb, Tall w/ chronic back problems & ancient ebike repair!

I went with a step-through model as well, also Arial Rider! I got the Rideal and love it, i highly recommend them. If i could find a dutch style bike easily i would buy one and modify it as my 3rd e-bike most likely. I really love the shape of the frame on the dutch mom bikes.

    UPDATE: GOT IT! $2kish & 36" inseam, 16mile Commute - DECIDED: RIDEAL! -

Sorry just saw your question about step-over. It's great, exactly what i wanted. It's equal height to my Charger bike on the step over height. Really makes getting on and off easy and i can load the back with my cooler bag inside milk crate and not have to worry about having my legs go over...

    UPDATE: GOT IT! $2kish & 36" inseam, 16mile Commute - DECIDED: RIDEAL! -

Yes it is operational error for sure. I am not used to shifters on the bike, on my old one it was a twist shift and this new one will take some time getting used to. I am really considering looking into switching it out to a twist shift if i can't get used to it. I also want to move the...

    UPDATE: GOT IT! $2kish & 36" inseam, 16mile Commute - DECIDED: RIDEAL! -

Thanks! Yes it makes it up the hill no problem. I will do some better testing but it's very impressive. With the charger i go about 6 mph up the hill, maybe 7 mph or so max. With the new bike i might be able to just throttle up the hill. With pedal assist at full and light pedaling it is...

    UPDATE: GOT IT! $2kish & 36" inseam, 16mile Commute - DECIDED: RIDEAL! -

I just got the Rideal today, setup was very easy and first impressions are it's very fast, very strong. I am able to get up the hills much easier compared to the old Charger. Although the Rideal is quicker and stronger, there is something special about the Charger. The Rideal feels...

Fixing up 2004 Electric Bike - Charger!

Just got the suspension post in and thought the shim was the wrong size, it was sliding down into the tube pretty easily but then i tried to rest the lip of the shim on the top of the tube and tightened and it held. Did a test ride and the suspension element seemed really great, i went with the...

Fixing up 2004 Electric Bike - Charger!

I installed back-swept bars and i really like the feel. It wasn't comfortable in a higher position, i had to keep it pretty straight or low, similar to the previous bar but the positioning makes it more comfortable while riding. I installed the top bull horns that i had on before last night...
