Cargo ebike for two adults occasionally

Tried the Pedego Stretch - it wins. I cannot even express how fun and easy it is to ride. By myself, up a moderate hill, I "could" ride it without assist on my own, with assist 1 assist it was great. Working, but not dying. I didn't need a throttle. I did up and down hills for about a mile on...

Cargo ebike for two adults occasionally

Saw the Edgerunner and all the Yubas today - the ones with low back wheels are out. Contenders are: Yuba Boda Boda midtail and Perego Stretch. Seem pretty comparable - with add-ons, Yuba is more expensive... thoughts on that? Checking out the Stretch tomorrow.

    Urban folding ebike

So, while I'm REALLLY all about getting a tandem... if I get into that and actually use it, the next thing I'm going to look into is an electric urban commuter bike. I love in a burb of DC/B'More. Too far from work to commute it all (20 miles) and it's not a bike friendly commute. I work at the...

    Ridekick instead of multiple bikes?

2 ebikes for that price? Not that I see. Or at least ones that are still classified as unknown/untested brands. To electrify anything costs money if you don't know how to do it yourself and have to pay someone and those high rated kits are $900ish to $2500oish. If I'm missing something...

Cargo ebike for two adults occasionally

And, I just discovered there's a store right near my work that carries yuba and xtracycle, so I should be able to try them all that I'm considering at this moment - very soon.

Getting a ridekick and adding it to a non-electric cargo bike?

    Ridekick instead of multiple bikes?

I literally didn't sleep half the night last night as I think through all sorts of possibilities. Situation is no matter what I need electric assist to get out of the neighborhood - period. Solo, tandem or cargo bike. I already have a very nice street bike, barely used as I got an injury in...

Cargo ebike for two adults occasionally

Wednesdays are my day off. I am going into B'more today to try out the Pedego Stretch to see how it fits and works and if it's worth saving up for to get it. Then, this Friday I am driving a bit to test out the used xtracycle edgerunner with the bafang assist and see how that is. It's loaded...

Cargo ebike for two adults occasionally

The height is my worry too. It has not been a gift to be a early growing (he's always been huge) high functioning autistic boy. People have expected him to act older than he is when really, he's a few years behind in all that physical ability development. I looked at the Radwagon bike. Problem...

Cargo ebike for two adults occasionally

It looks like an amazing bike (so many do - hence the search fatigue)... But the price is so high. With options, it's like a $4700 bike. I see a non-electrified one listed semi-locally. I supposed I could buy an electric assist kit for it and have it electrified? But it would have to be hired...

Cargo ebike for two adults occasionally

Here is my situation and you all can help me brainstorm as I'm exhausted from it... A month or so back I was looking into a tandem for myself and my 12 year old son (12 5'9" and growing quickly) so that we could make quick trips to the lake 1.5 miles away, concerts 1.5 miles away, library -...

What is the weight limit on the Pedego Stretch

Thanks - and yes, I should.

What is the weight limit on the Pedego Stretch

I think I have watched every video and read every review there is for the Pedego Stretch. I have head from dealers things like "400 pound weight limit" (from the Pedego site) to "450 pound weight limit", and "400 pound weight limit on top of the rider weight." Which is it really. All of that...

Does Pedego ever go on sale?

I know some brands some time of year go on sale. I am looking at getting the Pedego Stretch. I saw one locally posted on ebay and that got me super interested. However, as two working parents, paying for college for an older son, caring for an in-law in our home, and homeschooling an autistic...

    Tandem eBike ?

That Tandem trike is gone... (being picked up tomorrow)... Really, we could do a regular tandem, probably with electric assistance, but even the ones I see, tall riders are usually in the front? Women in back? (though it would/could be my husband and I switching back and forth). Egad... stuff is...

    Tandem eBike ?

I trust him to be the front rider. He is very high functioning autistic. It's more the strength and stamina to biking anywhere; like I could buy him a stabilizing training wheel set for big riders and he could learn how to use brakes and eventually shifting gears (with time). But strength. Nope...

    Tandem eBike ?

Hmmm... just saw this listed.... One of my motivations for getting to biking again (with my son) is that I want to go to the grocery store or to bike to one of the parks near us (about 2-3 miles)... I like fitness with function. (Link Removed - No Longer Exists) I'm sure it's impossible heavy...

Holy wow! That is some bike!

    Tandem eBike ?

It is rather ungainly. Turning corners and getting started is like a nightmare.

    Tandem eBike ?

I found this as I'm thinking of an electric tandem... Or at least adapting a 'unique' tandem I have to make it electic. Maybe you all can help me - but realize I'm a complete novice and not matter what I do, I'd have to pay someone to make any adaptations. I have a son with high functioning...
