That’s backwards for sure , you must of twisted it the wrong way when you straighten the handlebars

Actually after receiving the bike I’ve gotten used to the throttle being on the left and back breaks being placed left side too ,

i just got mine too !!! same color as well i agree with you the packaging was very good although the foam filled 2 full size garbage bags that's a lot of landfill ..The bike is a blast to use I've put it through its rigors hills rocks gravel road everything ! love it ..

I was thinking the same thing where to put a water bottle!!! I'm thinking ill put a medium sized cycle bag on the handle bars maybe throw a bottle in there ...
