My bike uses less electrical power at fast speeds

This may not make any sense to anyone here, but that's OK, it doesn't make much sense to me either. I've monitored this repeatedly, and if I go easy on the throttle and pedal a lot at slow speeds, I have less batter power left than if I go fast and use the throttle a lot. Probably a dozen times...

Why is it rare for an e-bike to have more than one chain-ring?

My eBike has 21 speeds, with three on the crank. I'll soon be replacing the drive train on it and going to a single sprocket because I have never used anything but the largest one.

Has anyone electrified a Cruzbike or tried one???

As Marcella pointed out, the downside of a recumbent like the one shown above is that if you drop it, and at some point you will drop it, bad things will happen. I had a Sun EZ Racer for a spell, and loved the riding position. Before buying it I rode a recumbent like the one you're interested...

    Stability and Wheel Diameter?

The larger the outside tire diameter, the more stable the bike.

PAS 1 to fast/strong... What are my options to lower it?

Glad my bike has some presets, along w/ a throttle. The throttle is infinitely more adjustable, you can set it to many, many different speeds. If you could put a throttle on yours, that might be the easiest and least expensive solution? Not sure, depends on your bike's controller.

2019 - how the US bike industry fared

Where I live, especially in these virus times, bike riding, both pedal and electric, is going through the roof. Bike shops are busy as beavers with repairs and sales. If there is a problem in eBike sales, it's due to the industry overpricing the bikes like crazy. Not everyone can afford, or is...

    Maintenance costs

Unless something breaks, maintenance is not so much. Squeeze the tyres to see if they feel right (pack a small hand pump just in case), and keep the battery charged and the chain clean and oiled. I go over my bikes every now and then to make sure all the fasteners are still snug, that's about it.

    2 Bricked Bosch Powerpacks

I think a 5th eBike may be in your near future. This sort of electrical snafu can take all the joy, and all the money, out of cycling. There's a lot to be said for the simpler, low end eBikes. I'm on my 2nd $600 Ancheer bike (just flat wore out the first one) and it will do 20 MPH and is dead...

Free Power - pedal assisted bike without motor or battery

The laws of physics, as ruffruff pointed out, mean that you will just use more energy to use up the rubber deflection in direct proportion to whatever benefits you might gain. Not to mention that rubber hardens over time, so it will turn back into a regular bike drive train before long. Probably...

Moving to a regular bike from e-bike

I had a 10 mile ride into town in the last city I lived in that featured almost no bike lanes or even road shoulders, so I bought a $98 Walmart bike to hoist onto the buses to get me into town. Absolutely loved it! Can't remember the model, but it was smooth and pretty light. It had been a long...

The Good, and Not So Good Places To Bike

Ever since moving to Tucson I have been complaining about the horrible condition of the roads. They have potholes that have multiple patches over the patches. Often the whole road is nothing but patches from one side to the other. It makes a for a lousy biking experience, not to mention being...

Is this too good to be true?

Hopefully you used a credit card. I just looked at that site and they're showing the Ancheer bike I purchased for $600 at $294 w/ free shipping. No way that can be right, and the battery specs are all wrong. Mine has a 36V 8AH battery, but they are showing it as a 12.5AH/8AH and there is no such...

Some real comfortable bar grips? My ergon grips are a pain in the ...... wrist !

I had the kind of grips Broweye shows above on a pedal forward bike. They were the most comfortable grips I ever had. Unfortunately they don't play well with the throttle on my eBike. It sounds like a possible bad fit to me too. Carry a wrench with you and adjust the seat and bars as you go for...

A Good Reason to Wear a Full Face Helmet

Sorry, no helmet is gonna protect you if a tiger attacks you. They're a prey animal and will go for your neck, but any old place they latched onto would be disastrous. You might consider a Smith & Wesson as a possible protection.

e-bike battery prices are not coming down

That is surely a high price for a 36V 11AH battery. Sure, it looks cool and high tech, but.......If it were me, I would simply get a comparable battery from somewhere else and adapt it to my bike.

How to divide up 1 oz of Vit C?

Ah. 56 doses. Or 69 as PDoz said? Somewhere in there should be close enough. That's what I needed to hear. Thank you. My days of having a gram scale are thankfully far behind me!, but I do remember that 1 oz is 28.34 grams, that's indelibly etched in there, LOL. I have tables written down for my...

How to divide up 1 oz of Vit C?

I purchased 1 oz of Vit C on eBait w/ the intent of taking 500 mg twice a day. The problem is, since I moved I can't find my kitchen measuring spoons. I read somewhere that 500 mg was roughly 1/8th of a teaspoon, but having no teaspoon, this is no help. Is there a way to sort of eyeball what 500...
