So on the Bafang controller you can control when the throttle kicks in, so you can set it 3mph for example, just so it doesn't shock/surge the motor from a dead stop?

As another Sondors owner(Fold XS) does it have enough power for you?

Another owner of relatively new Ebike company recently made a video and said some bike parts are now 600 days out; this is madness, if you have parts you don't need now is the time to sell. You will never make more money than right now for Ebike parts on the secondary market.

You could also do the Helios if you are willing to wait, but you can't get tires bigger than 3" on that one. But if you are more concerned with speed, 3" wheels might be better anyways for you. But it's a hardtail. If you just are ordering the Hydra now you are waiting a while anyways.

Seems like they are ideal for groomed gravel and standard non-paved bike paths, that would knock out the tire hum anyways.

Seems if you want the 3500 X1 watt motor sooner than later you have to go with a Helios model that has the Gates belt, or wait for the Hydra version being worked on probably in 2022. Either way if the standard ultra can bust chains then the 3500W version going be eating them every ride you punch...
