Yes, you are correct. Frey replied again saying exactly that - the higher voltage battery discharges first. Once they two batteries are equal, they discharge simultaneously. Just my lack of comprehension of their first response.

Simultaneous discharging would also be fine, but I don't know if it has that as Frey did not provide clear information on how the electrical system functions.
